Freeza's age

Post by Piccolo Daimao » Sat Jan 15, 2011 11:18 am

How old would you say Freeza is, at the time of his death? We know that he's at least 27, since he was alive in Age 737 (the year Planet Vegeta was destroyed) and died in Age 764.

He's at least 33, going by the date that Planet Vegeta was annexed by Freeza's empire (Age 731) and how he was killed during Age 764 by Trunks. Given that he was already in charge of an empire at this time (no mention is made of King Cold or Coola, and all suggestions are that Freeza was always the public face of the empire) I'd say anywhere upwards of 60 years old. No way to tell how long his species lives, he could be 300 years old for all we know.

Could I ask for the source of this?

It's from one of the Daizenshuu, but I do not know which one. Herms has the date listed in his comprehensive timeline guide. It only has it labelled as "Databook sourced".

Yep, you're right. It's from his timeline thread, indicating it as being from the databooks.

Yeah, that's from Daizenshuu 7's timeline. It was used in the GT Perfect Files timeline too.

I think it's possible for Freeza to be around 100 years old... I think he has been around for quite a long time...

I always like to think of Freeza as a spoilt little kid who gets everything he wants, simply because he can take it. His dad and his brother are the only known threats to him, and they coddle him and let him be the face of the empire, while they chill behind the scenes.

At the same time, Freeza could be ancient on a human scale. I like to think of him as that too. I imagine his race is so long lived that he's ruled for hundreds of years, but by their standards, he's still a child.

All conjecture, of course, but it's interesting conjecture.

Considering Kaio's fear of him, he's probably been around a while, or at least seems likely to be around for a lot longer.

If his reign was only to last like 50 years, I can't imagine Kaio being that concerned, since it's really not that long in the grand scheme of things.

Yea your right... Freeza is probably a couple of hundreds years old...

Hell if Dabura can be what at minimum hundreds of years old, why couldn't Freeza be...
