Question about the "Wukong Hospital"

I think most of the people here knows that "Wukong" is the name of the Hospital where Goku was hospitalized after his fight with Vegeta.

But the entire word "WUKONG" doesn't seems to appear in manga neither in anime.
In the anime, doesn't seems to have a letter between "W" and "KONG".
And in Manga, the letter after "W" doesen't seems to be an "U". It looks more like an "E" or a "B".

Is there any official statement that the hospital's name is really "WUKONG" or it is just a "guess"?

It's a reference to the character Son Goku was based off of, Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King.

Yes.
I know about the meaning of "WUKONG".
But I want to know if the name of the hospital is really "WUKONG" or if it's just a guess.

Because I didn't find anything really clear about that.

For example, in manga, the letter after "W" definitely doesn't seems to be an "U".

Oh, I see what you are saying. I don't know. My guess is they left the U out to make it more mysterious? In the manga shot it looks like the letter after W may be an E or a B and maybe some other letter.

In the anime, it looks like W. Kong, but you're right; the comic has something after the W that is very much not a U...

I couldn't find any official statement commenting on the matter. I think it's just a fan guess.

Considering that the narrator box for that panel says "West City hospital", and since that does very much look like WE and not WO, perhaps it's supposed to be something that starts off "West"...though I have no idea what. "West Kong"? Hey, maybe that's actually half an X rather than a K, not that that helps things much either.

I can't think of anything. But judging on the space, it should be only one letter behind the colum besides the two half-cut.

Hrm, the name Wei Xong rings a bell. Was that ever anyone who worked on DB? Though, just looking at the odd spelling of it, I would think it'd be Wei Xiong if it was any form of name, so I'm more than likely wrong. Not sure why it rings a bell in that case.

Probably Wetkong (fortunately there are no Vietkong hospitals in DB world)

Anyway, reference to Wukong won't make any sense, since in Japanese, Son Wukong simply doesn't exist as the kanji is read
as Son Goku.
But it's funny that other rumor, believed also by hardcore fans who 100% sure about it, is again cleaned up

)
Damn, looks like there is not so many fans of manga, since someone must have thought up that invisible U from anime,
or someone is reading his manga from hell of far to not see the details. Great for fans of Pollock tough.

Yeah, but it's not like the Japanese are simply ignorant of the Chinese readings for things. You can see that the Japanese Wikipedia page for the Monkey King notes how the Pinyin reading for the characters is "Sūn Wùkōng", and even writes it out in alphabet letters. So the idea of Toriyama referencing the Chinese reading of Goku's name by writing it out in alphabet letters is not in and of itself that far-fetched.

I noticed that, in my Vizbig, the narrator says that this hospital is the hospital of West City.

Could it's name be "Westkong Hospital"?

"Westkong" as a pun of "monkey from the journey to the west", reinforced by the fact that its in West City?

If not, well, its at least my own personal "canon"
