DBZ Episode 195 mistake?

Post by DarkGokuZ » Mon Apr 18, 2011 1:43 pm

Hey! I don't know if this is worth enough to make a thread about, but I just made a thread anyway..
Well I just got my Dragon Box 5 with the post today (Yay!) and I wanted to watch the episodes with Goku in the other world.. I saw episode 195, and I found something weird about the preview and the episode. And sorry if it is a stupid thread. :?

In the episode preview for 195, we see this scene.

But in the actual episode we see this scene.

I found this a little weird, though it actually looks cool.
But what do you all think? Was it just a mistake or was there a reason for this?
(First thread btw!)

This has been noted a few times. The main theories are either that a) it was some bizarre mistake or b) it was an intentional last minute change to ensure that Paikuhan wouldn't see Super Saiyan Goku until their climatic tournament fight.

Another theory is that the anime staff thought it would be overkill for Goku to use Super Saiyan against the Ginyu Force.

I'm not sure why you'd even bother posting this statement if someone's already said it in the thread... which is what you just said. At least they expanded upon it a little more than just saying, "Yeah, no." :?

This seems to be the correct option, even if it isn't officially confirmed. The way Paikuhan stares at Goku after he transforms, in a very "WTF is this? And his ki is rising!" way, proves that Goku's "bad hair day" from the time they spent putting Hell back in order was retconned to be just that once the hair was recolored. Paikuhan clearly had no idea exactly how strong Goku was, or that he could transform during their fight.
