Dragon Ball Z game which follows Majin Boo arc closely?

Post by dbboxkaifan » Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:38 pm

From these ones:

Budokai 2
Budokai 3
Budokai Tenkaichi 1
Budokai Tenkaichi 2
Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (skips a lot)
Raging Blast 1 (skips a lot)
Ultimate Tenkaichi (I think this one also skips a lot)

Burst Limit and Budokai 1 don't count because they're Kai-ish (ends with Cell's arc).

So yeah, which of these games follows up closely the Boo arc?

I did play BT2 but that was years ago and never actually managed to bother with the story mode. :P

Thanks.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

None. Since they're all fighting games they aren't really concerned with telling the story.

Buu's Fury on GBA did a decent job at it.

If you're asking which one follows it the closest, then probably BT 2.

Boo's Fury does quite a good job at covering quite a lot- You can even fight Pui-Pui and Yakon...
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

Buu's Fury....... Budokai 2 is out of the question, that's like Buu arc played with chess on LSD, with all the story.
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88
Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

Buu's Fury and Ultimate Butouden. UB covered the Vegetto arc pretty nice [With the counting part, etc.]

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

I think Budoukai 2 was, like, the first fighting game in North America or something to cover the Boo arc and its characters, and they used that quite heavily for marketing. But its story mode covered the Saiyan to Boo arc, in equal measure.

For non-fighting games, Boo's Fury, in which you play through the Boo arc.
