Did Goku and Chaozu ever have one conversation?

This might be kind of random but I just noticed that Goku and Chaozu never had one real conversation the entire series. Goku has plenty of conversations with Tenshinhan, but never any with Chaozu. I know this isn't important or anything, but it's just something I noticed. It's weird to think though that a character that enters the series as early as he does never has one conversation with the main character.

They do indeed never talk in the manga. Don't know about the anime though.

What was even funnier was how the first punch he gave Nappa was for him, which in the original Z is what they ended the episode on, if I remember clearly.

Yeah, that happens in the manga too, where Gokuu, through Kaiou, congratulates Chaozu for having his body restored.

Well, that group of warriors were pretty much all friends with each other, so I guess Gokuu saw himself as a friend or at least an acquaintance of Chaozu, and vice versa.

Isn't there some early Android arc filler that says Chaozu is a good cook? That must be the reason. ;p

Ah, yes, of course. Chaozu rarely gets to cook for Gokuu, what with him being in the mountains with Tenshinhan most of the time. Gokuu was pissed that he'd never get a chance like that again.

I think he was so pissed because at that point in the story you could only be revived by the Dragon Balls once. Chaozu was already killed by Piccolo so he was gone for good now.

Edit-
That being said Piccolo was dead by that point so everyone had to stay dead anyway.

Did Goku know about the no Piccolo no Dragon Balls rule?

It's a bit different. In the manga, Goku just says "Yokattana!" (That's great!) to Yamcha, but in the anime, he clearly speaks to Chaozu.

Speaking of Chaozu.

Imagine what the poor little guy was thinking when the Earth suddenly blew up around him as Boo destroyed it...

Ten left him by himself and everyone else was gone...

Can't imagine what Goku would say to him though. Maybe say something about his head, like he did about Kuririn when they first met.

Yea! I actually just got to that part while reading the manga and I thought the same exact thing! Chaozu and Boo were the only people/creature on Earth that were fully conscious when the Earth blew up. So sad.

What's even funnier is that despite never talking, Chaozu still used his abilities to screw with Goku that time at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai.

Also worth noting: I was certain that Kuririn was going to lose against him and that Goku was to fight Chaozu in the semi-finals.
