I also thought the same thing :? If I was a betting man I'd almost bet fake but I have no idea
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

I think someone here mentioned them being real. They came after the movie sets (I believe). I remember someone saying something to the effect of "figures FUNimation would re-release singles after the box sets).... could be wrong though :/

DBZ is a cash-cow. As long as it makes them money and people keep on buying them, Funimation can do whatever they want with it.

Just a really bad track record lol. Though if they stopped the Dragon Boxes outta the blue... there would be riots lol

I got both the Trunks & Bardock US releases for $5 each at a convention. I thought they were probably the best way to watch the dub with the original score.

Honestly, the double features are really cheap and these are the same format. If you were to collect all of these (had they come out) it would be the same price, if not more, as all the double features. So honestly, it made no sense for them to even release it in the first place. If the video quality was different, that's one thing, but the video quality is the same. It's the same release with a different cover on it. And DB fans aren't really selective. If they're going to collect it, they're going to collect the whole thing. I don't know too many fans that go, "I want to get movie 1, 3, and 9 but not the rest!" Most fans I've known of get the whole thing, so this release never really made sense to begin with.

The only real disappointment to me was the Ultimate Uncut series to be honest. My collection feels empty without it. As far as the blu-rays go, I think they should work on that and then redo it. Come on, it's a 291 episode series. It took like 2 years for them to release under 100 episodes of Kai with 13 episodes per disc. I don't want a 6 year release plan for the DBZ blu-rays. If they released them like the season sets, then by all means, but 13 episodes per disc was fucking lunacy.

The funny thing is that if they had just released up to 2.2 we would have had the entire series uncut in 4x3 with US music available.

After that, the old singles would work fine.

The entire Saiyan arc was released legally in 1080p HD (digital format), but as for the Namek and Frieza arcs, there's none. Unless you count those small samples on the trailer.

The next Movie 1 release should contain BOTH English dubs for it. I'd love to hear Peter Kelamis (in his better days) over Dragon Box footage, for instance.

He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

I think we actually did have a petition at some point for Dragon Box the Movies to include the Ocean dub, but it was just kind of forgotten. I don't think it would make much difference anyway.

Yeah, I saw the Bardock/Trunks version of this DVD.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada
