I love that shit-eating grin on Vegeta's face.

Re: Picture request.
How can the second picture be of higher quality when it's buried under lots of grain?

Ah, the Alpha and the Omega. As all life was created from Chaos...so shall it be DESTROYED!!!
The wails of machines | Singing cold harmony | Shifting air upward | Entranced by the breeze | Light pours like blood | Into a cosmic sea | Of stars crystallized | In a frozen symphony

In Dragon Ball's case, the show was produced on film. The film has grain, therefore the grain IS the detail.InfernalVegito wrote:How can the second picture be of higher quality when it's buried under lots of grain?
Less grain = less detail = blurry image (See: Orange Bricks)

My YouTube
Soppa Saiyjins from Dorgou Ballru Zetto is my favorite transformation everah, especially when Trounksoru did it in front of Seru and when Bejita did it when he faced Jingonigen-hachigo. But for real, I use the FUNi pronunciation. - Soppa Saia People

Re: Picture request.
That lack of grain makes the first picture look better to me >__>
Never had any Dragon Boxes, but when i first looked at these two, i thought that http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u51 ... 0f0ca1.jpg is Dragon Box and that is normal http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Zestanor ... eta280.png
Now you tell me the picture with a lot of grain actually is from Dragon Boxes? My eyes tend to differ on your opinion.

Re: Picture request.
Why'd you bother to ask for a HQ screen of the image for your avatar if you were just going to distort it anyway? A little bit of cropping wouldn't have hurt. =PDHM211 wrote:Can anyone post a high quality version of this. It's DBZ episode 280. Thanks.

Because I'm not only using it for my avatar, I'm also using it as my wallpaper on my iPad.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Why'd you bother to ask for a HQ screen of the image for your avatar if you were just going to distort it anyway? Re: Picture request.
^^That does indeed look much better than the other ones!
Re: Picture request.

This is better!
With grain, as you like
Re: Picture request.
That man... that looks.. awesome... I think it's missing the fansubs at the bottom though, and the VHS flicker.

@Toranks: Do you have that gif without grain?

Re: Picture request.
When it comes to these types of conversations everyone feels the need to just blurt out their personal feelings about video quality, and that's fine. But please add some context and actual discussion to the conversation. Tell us why you think it looks worse/better, why you think the grain is bad/good, etc. I'm fine with letting the conversation move forward, but let's avoid yelling at each other about how horrible things may or may not look. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and we've had this discussion more times than I can count, but keep in mind that the series' film is at least over 15 years old and the grain is an inherent consequence of such production techniques.AnimeMaakuo wrote:The second picture looks worse than the first one?.. Now moving on...
That filtering... is not so good. The pixelated mosaic effect is just, all over the place.Corpsecreate wrote:And with some filtering...

Re: Picture request.
What, you're using the same image for both? Why can't you use a cropped one (like the one TheDevilsCorpse made for you) for the forum? It looks better and is a more efficient file size. I mean, I know almost everyone has broadband these days, but that's no reason to be inefficient.DHM211 wrote:Because I'm not only using it for my avatar, I'm also using it as my wallpaper on my iPad.

If TPP passes in your country it will be illegal for you to watch an imported DVD. Click here to learn more!
