If MR. TORIYAMA continues the story like he says he might...
What are your predictions, you think he'll ignore GT and make it take place around that same time? You think he'll take off from where GT ended? If he replaces GT how do you think it will be different, most importantly how do you think he'll creatively bring about stronger enemies than the God of Destruction himself? You think he'll introduce even more powerful Gods, will he reuse and refine ideas used in GT, idk so many possibilities. I personally wouldn't mind if he just rewrote GT but gave someone else besides Goku the lead, probably weaker so that it isn't so hard to justify someone posing a significant threat.

Re: If Akira continues the story like he says he might...
When did he ever say he might continue the story?
Re: If Akira continues the story like he says he might...
In an article posted by animevice where they misinterpret what Toriyama says due to translation errors, it seemed at that time he had plans to continue to DB manga. The article took place 2 years ago, and got everyone's hopes up, it was referenced by other big comic/anime sites, until it was debunked, and later retracted.

To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about the fans a re-issue might alienate because if all they're concerned about is being able to scalp the people who were either unaware of the Dragon Boxes or couldn't afford them at the time, they're just leeches and deserve to have their greed backfire on them.

^I won't trust that video unless it's from a official source. I think if AT continue Dragon Ball then it will likely be a new story. I personally doubt he gives a shit about GT since it's not even his story. It been 15+ years since GT ended and I doubt he even remembers what happen in the show.

For the record, by "Akira" he did mean Akira Toriyama, right? I don't suppose that, say, Akira Yamaoka will be continuing DB in musical form.

No I just said Akira since there was no room in the title for his full name. This is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNDNvS_PxesHerms wrote:*Headdesk*Nex Carnifex wrote:Someone said he said so in a youtube video I was watching, I don't really know.

You know you could of just said Toriyama... People would've known what you're talking about.Nex Carnifex wrote:No I just said Akira since there was no room in the title for his full name. Anyway, back to the topic. The thing is that it might as well happen. I mean a full color version of the manga, a new DBZ movie coming out in Japanese theaters in March, and many other stuff all in 2013. Anything could happen now. The sky is the limit for Dragon Ball in 2013. So we'll just wait and see what happens.

Seriously, using random YouTube videos as a source of information is a terrible idea.

Just one last comment as it's being locked...
The Bleeding Cool article is from 2010, and if I remember correctly, when nothing panned out, they spun the story (much later on) as, "Oh, we meant Dragon Ball SD".
Dates and perspective are important.
