Can higher levels of Super Saiyan be mastered?

Post by Kamiccolo9 » Sat Jul 06, 2013 3:38 pm

With training, could the strain of SSJ2 and SSJ3 be reduced like was done for the basic SSJ?

Maybe SSJ2, but I don't think SSJ3.

I don't see why not for SSJ2 but for 3? It seems highly unlikely.

Super Saiyan 2? Unlikely, but maybe.

Super Saiyan 3? Hellz naw. You're never going to be able to maintain a form that hemorrhages ki so rapidly that you lose the form in 5 minutes. MAYBE Goku might be able to rein the form in a little and decrease the negative side effects if he were to train with it while dead in the afterlife, but I can't see it ever being "mastered" the way Super Saiyan 1 was. That's all about letting your body adapt so that the form comes naturally, which doesn't seem possible with a form that's bursting with more energy than the body can even hold.

Given enough time anything I think can be mastered.

Maybe thousands of years in Other World with a dead body would allow you master SSJ3.

Mmm but why Kakarotto says ¨he would be better¨ ( I still think he says stronger in the original japanese language. Better? Kakarotto is super skillfull enough. Better = New technics? I doubt it. Better = Stronger? More sense to me ) before defeating Pure Boo?

The main and only problem with SSJ3 Goku in the fight between him and Pure Boo, was the fast energy drain.

Being better or stronger, I think he could dominate the SSJ3.

Honestly, I think any of them could be mastered. The problem occurs though that, by the point they were able to figure out and have trained long enough to master a higher form - like say, SS3 - then they'd have likely already hit SS4, and have made even a mastered SS3 form pointless. That would be my guess as to why none of this ever came up with later forms.

I believe that Goku tried to master Super Saiyan 2 in AfterLife, but realized it was a waste of time. Nope, not possible.

Super Saiyan 2? Possibly. It doesn't appear to be radically different from the first form other than the power it outputs.

Super Saiyan 3? Hell, I don't even think anyone's supposed to be able to do that while alive. Giving that a "no."

What? Who said that mastering SS2 was a requirement for SS3, or that it's even possible?

I think it's possible for both forms, but it won't be easy. SS3 would just take an incredibly long time since you drop out of it so soon and then have to rest to get your energy back. I'd see training the form like the Visored training in Bleach.

no one I'm just assuming that cause if a saiyan can reach a new form wown't he have masterd the last to reach it in the first place ?

then you have the manga wich whene goku went ssj2 for a second to defeat yakon vegeta relaised that his ssj2 form was nothing compared to goku's so he let babidi release his dorment power to be able to catch up

Well, they didn't have to master Super Saiyan to reach Super Saiyan Grade 2, nor did they have to master Super Saiyan Grade 2 to reach Super Saiyan Grade 3.

I think that we talk about two different things...

Super Saiyan Full Power is the mastered version of Super Saiyan. It doesn't drain ki, it doesn't make the Saiyan angry, it allows the Saiyan to use the full power of the form & also suppress it, and it gives greater gains during training for some time.

I believe that what you are referring as mastering is the ability to freely transform into said form?

i think this is what he means by mastering and if ssj can be then why can't ssj2-ssj3 ? i personally think goku and vegeta masterd it by looking at the huge gap between goku's ssj2 and vegeta's before he let babidi unlock his hidden powers to be on-par with him

and i don't think there is a right or wrong awnser to this cause like many things in dragon ball toryama dosen't address it in the manga or data books

I believe that it's not possible, because it never happened. Goku doesn't look like a "Super Saiyan 2 Full Power" in Boo arc, because his eyes are "locked" into angry mode, while in Super Saiyan Full Power, that's not the case.
