I honestly want a mix of the two. Yes a little more modern can do wonders but throw in some old school as well. It will blend well if you do it correctly.

I like both Takaki's style and Sumitomo's style. if we sticked to the old school bgm forever like some people suggest we would be on an unending loop of the same music. It would become monotonous sooner or later. I support recording new music for every special or movie they make.
There's room for only one snake, and one big boss.

I'm up for new. If I want the old I'll seek it out.

Working on the King Piccolo theme and watching old DB episodes has really made me think about the potential there is for more dramatic music in DB. I get visions of rescoring entire episodes with a more modern style. The happy and comedic stuff I probably wouldn't touch...but you'll see what I mean when I upload the new theme in about a weeks time.

I'm fine with a balance. I'll still always see the Kikuchi score as the true BMG for Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z.

I miss Bruce Faulconer.

The world's greatest.

Correction - You miss "Faulconer Productions", since not all of the dub score was composed by Faulconer himself.Dr. Machismo wrote:I miss Bruce Faulconer.
