The Kiri system
Ok, I'm gonna say this now, this question will require you to think that the base Saiyans are weaker than Freeza. Now that we have that out of the way, lets begin. How do you think the Kiri system scales? According to Dabura, 200-300 Kiris are required to destroy a planet. We've seen Freeza destroy a planet with a power level of 530,000. If that were to scale linearly we would find that Yakon is rocking a BP of 2,120,000. Now Goku has a Kiri reading of 3,000. That would mean Goku's power is at 7,950,000. Suppressed or not, that's really really really low. Much lower than what his base power should be at this point in time. I could use some help scaling this system. I would like to find a system that would make Yakon weaker than Freeza and Goku weaker than 2,800,000,000. I'm not sure if this is possible since I have failed to make things work so far, but some help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: The Kiri system
Are you under assumption that 3,000 Kiri is Goku's full SS power?
Re: The Kiri system
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this bit anime-only?TheMightyOzaru wrote:According to Dabura, 200-300 Kiris are required to destroy a planet.
Re: The Kiri system
If you look at the Kiri system as power levels, then there is no possible way for Yakon to be weaker than Freeza. I'm not sure, but maybe it may be something different than power levels, something along the lines of life force, potential energy, or energy levels in general. Amount of Ki that can be produced, etc. And maybe Goku was nowhere near his full power when Babidi read their Kiri readings. Goku handled Yakon pretty well before going Super Saiyan.

Re: The Kiri system
No, but there is still the problem of 200-300 Kiris being required to destroy a planet. That's doesn't translate to a very big battle power.hleV wrote:Are you under assumption that 3,000 Kiri is Goku's full SS power?
I'm fairly certain it's in the manga. I could be wrong though.Tyro wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this bit anime-only?TheMightyOzaru wrote:According to Dabura, 200-300 Kiris are required to destroy a planet.

We also don't know if Kiris scale linearly. It could be an exponential scale.

Re: The Kiri system
If it is, do you have an example of how that could potentially work without it getting way out of hand. I've tried an exponential scale, but it always gets waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big.Kamiccolo9 wrote:We also don't know if Kiris scale linearly. It could be an exponential scale.

The thing is, you've tried. I'm pretty sure Toriyama didn't bother.TheMightyOzaru wrote:If it is, do you have an example of how that could potentially work without it getting way out of hand. Re: The Kiri system
I look it like this.
Kiri would be the United States customary systems of measurement
Power levels are the metric system
Kiri makes Zero sense
Power Levels do make sense(And most of the power levels stated can go into 5 and 10. While it's true for the Kiri(s) stated as well. I don't think a lot of Kiri's end in a 0 or 5 seeing as how bad they are).
So the scales in Kiri are messed up and a bit weird. While Power levels makes more sense. I don't even think Kiri has SSJ as 50x. It could be bigger or smaller.
