Because then there would be less overly heated arguments over dubs (arguments that resemble the over the top dub arguments on Youtube with Ocean & FUNi fanboys) and that means less trolling/flaming.
Are there really overly hated arguments? From my time here, it mostly boils down to 'yeah, the dub is objectively inaccurate and unfaithful to the original but if you're aware of that and still enjoy it, that's fine too'. Even "I appreciate the original is the original but I don't find enjoyment in it" is something that goes by with little argument too.
The issues arise when someone can't separate themselves from the topic. "You like X thing that I don't like so here's reasons why you can't like it". Shit like that is very quickly squashed by the staff on the site. We're all guilty of it and all my examples of it were promptly shut down.
Basically, there's no real need for a subforum because, if you're able to have a mature discussion (and, as Mike likes to say, "be an awesome person"), then everything you want to talk about should be able to be brought up without issue.
If you feel that that's something that doesn't happen enough then that needs to be brought up with the moderation team.
At the end of the day, this is a Japanese-focused site and there will always be a critical eye on anything that adapts it. If you want a site where your preferences are the majority then there are many other sites that offer that too.
