Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.
Saiyan and Cell arcs look the best to me. All of DB Part. I is close second with the Boo arc at dead last. Most of it looked lazy... to the point even Toriyama-sensei himself mocked it once.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I'm just about done with the concept of reboots and making shows that were products of their time and impactful "new and sexy" and in line with modern tastes and sensibilities. Let stuff stay in their era and give today's kids their own shit to watch.
I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.
Yeah, I made a thread about this before The art style I like best are his Saiyan-Freeza (89-90) ones. It looks the most appealing to me, after that, he starts getting sloppier. His Neko Majin art style (2005) looks really good as well.
King Piccolo arc, Saiyan arc and Android/Cell arc Goku look the best to me.

Akira Toriyama wrote:My policy is to try and forget things once they’re over. Since if I don’t discard the old and focus on what’s new, I’ll overload my brain capacity. I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

the new Style works for Dragonquest ..not so much for Dragonball
Honestly, I think the thing I have most issue with in his newer artwork, aside from the anorexic proportions, is that he uses such overly thick outlines, and it makes everything look way more cartoonish than it should.
In general, his art styles from the original run of the series were one of the main appeals of the series to me back in the day, and his newer style just doesn't capture what I originally loved about his work.

also less muscle and they look like the shrunken
but its not a bad art style ..it's just dont fit to Dragonball
As for the worst... I think that's 92'...
It just looks to sloppy and the faces are too sharp compared to what Toriyama's capable of.

Thats because it was apparently reported that Toriyama was still using ver 1 Photoshop. Which someone should have already upgraded it for him, it would make his job much easier and make his art look better.
