Did the manga or anime say it was 10 years of Peace?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Did the manga or anime say it was 10 years of Peace?

After the timeskip to 28th Tenkaichi Budokai did the manga or anime imply it was peace? I just know they said it's been 5 years since they saw each other.

I believe only the recent information has said that the events of Super take place in the peace time after defeating Boo. I don't believe the manga states anything about it.

Guess it's not very peaceful huh? I know the English dub said 10 years of peace. Seems like the Z gang is always in trouble

Nobody specifically says there have been ten years of peace in the Japanese manga, but when Vegeta notes how weak the kids have grown, Goku goes "well, that's peace for you", implying that it's been peaceful for some significant amount of time.

Well the fights in BoG and RoF both take place over like 1 day each, so 2 violent days out of 10 years seems fairly peaceful to me.
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147

There's also 2008 Special and Dragonball Super. Might be more events coming. Unless they take place outside of Earth.

Isn't it said that Goku is excited about Uub because he was bored without worthy opponents?

I can't recall if there was any specification on the duration of time they were enjoying peace. Regardless, the overall sustained period of peace is probably what caused Goku to crave an intense battle. Makes me wonder if he needs to fight someone new to satisfy his insatiable appetite for a good fight, or if he experiences the same level of thrill by fighting the same opponent over and over. I mean, it seems very likely that Vegeta would gladly volunteer himself to play the part.

Vegeta in the English translation says something about someone who could fight with Goku. But in the original Japanese all that is said is Oob is an incredible fighter and that he is definitely strong. But strong is relative really. Oob could still be classed as strong without being in the same league as Goku. Goku definitely refers to Boo as strong when Goku is actually stronger. And it's possible that like Freeza in FnF. Oob has tons of potential by just being born with Pure Boo's power. So if Oob was trained properly he is going to be much stronger than Golden Freeza.

The definition of being strong can be viewed quite subjectively. I mean, even being able to go head to head with a Super Perfect Cell tier fighter at the World Martial Arts Tournament would be considered an incredible opportunity. How often do Goku and Vegeta come across beings who can rival their SSJ / SSJ2 forms, let alone a human fighter with that level of power?

In regards to Uub, if EoZ follows the events of FnF, it could mean that the boy is actually a lot more powerful than many of us had originally thought. Regardless of whether or not Goku was holding back the majority of his power, Uub still performed exceptionally well against the Saiyan.
