Gokû's New Rivals

I read Gokû's getting new rivals in Super, multiple new rivals.

Vegeta's inevitable flabbergast of horror at potentially being being replaced aside, what kind of characters do you think Gokû's new rivals will be? What would you like them to be like? What do you not want them to be like? How many do you want him to get?; since there's multiple ones.

I'm hoping for a beauty and beast scenario. One tall handsome character and the other as one cool-design monster character. :3

Lemme phrase it this way then. IF there are new rivals, like in the Uni 6 arc, same questions as the OT.

I'm pretty sure the new rivals will be "rivals" in the sense of also seeking the Super Dragon Balls; it won't be a Goku/Vegeta thing. Just so happens they will be on par with Goku in strength. They may not be completely evil, but their goals will clash with Goku's.

What I'm hoping for in terms of design and quantity is something like Bojack's crew. In fact, this is EXACTLY what I've always felt Bojack's gang should have been if they ever appeared in the canon timeline: anti-heroes and bounty hunters that parallel the saiyans (they have a SSJ thing going on...).

Edit: Oh, and in terms of personality, I'd like the head of crew to be like Lobo from DC. Completely crude.

Hmm...I honestly don't know what kind of character I'd like to appear as a rival (if we're talking in the same sense as Piccolo and later Vegeta anyway). I kind of feel that Beerus is poised to be in that position in the future, once Goku achieves a power level that's actually fully comparable to his own. So like with Beerus, all I can ask is that Toriyama surprise us, and give us new characters that are chock full of entertaining personalities. Everything else will fall into place.

This new rival could spark something new in Goku's mind and would be a nod to Goku's training of Uub in EoZ.

I hope the rival is Broly from the movies. After Gohan, Goten, and the ghost of christmas past kamehameha'd him, he actually transported to the future. Now, as the gang looks for the super dragon balls, he will constantly pop out of nowhere like Nemesis from Resident Evil to beat them up.

Scene example:
Goten: Look, it's a super dragon ball!

Trunk: Way to go, Goten! I'll get it.

*Broly smashes through the wall as Trunks reaches for dragon ball, grabs his head, and hurls him to space*

Goten: Trunks!!!!

Broly: Ka...ka...rooooott.

*Cue horror music and squishy feet sound Cell and Broly make when they move*

Not to shoot down your parade, but I wouldn't be surprised if these new rivals are Universe 6 versions of Vegeta, Freeza, Cell, etc. In other words, "new" versions of old characters.

Some carrot munching, bunny-like powerhouses outclassing Goku in every aspect would definitely be something to watch!

Considering how a food-loving kitty has once had the privilege of practically using him as a scratching post, I'd say it's heading in the right direction.
