Food you enjoy with Dragon Ball?

Post by ToxicFlame707 » Mon Feb 15, 2016 1:40 am

What food do you usually eat when watching Dragon Ball?
When I was 15 years old in 2010 I had first gotten into Dragon Ball Z. When I first started watching it, I was just a bored kid during the summer looking for something to do, at first I really had to force myself to watch it, I didn't take a genuine interest until after I finished the Saiyan Saga/Season One. The reason I didn't watch Dragon Ball from the Pilaf Saga first is because nobody at my school really talked about it, and it wasn't as popular on the internet either. Anyway, I pretty much went off-topic.

When I binge-watched Dragon Ball for the first time, my diet from what I remember was like this.
Pizza Roles, Instant Ramen (Pretty much all the flavors), White Rice, and Sprite.

But as an adult and with the new Dragon Ball Super series, I take time to prepare a gourmet meal before watching a new episode. Sometimes Spaghetti and Meatballs, other nights Orange Chicken/Fried Rice, and Teriyaki steak. And once Universe 6 arc is over I am going to binge-watch it again, though I will probably make an edit of Episode 30 (the "Naruto" episode) and take out the flashbacks before I do so.

Wow!

You treat yourself fairly well when it comes to entertainment. I mean, enjoying yourself while watching your favourite show/episode

I dont have fixed menu. I mean, its to be expected. I hardly watch plot'ish/backstory & even if I do, itz just to pop a topic in Kanzenshuu/DBZF to discuss.

My FAVOURITE parts of DBZ are hard-core fighting episodes (like Ep 179, 230, 268, 279-287). But it comes with its catch though.

I'll be sooo deeply immersed in the fighting (SSJ2 Goku vs Majin Vegeta or SSJ2 Goku vs Kid Boo) jaw-dropped every time I watch. And I forget my food. It gets cold & darn..gotta re-heat the food as I hate food that have cooled-down.

I like to eat burger or pizza occasionally. But it gets cold which frankly pisses me off.

Instead, I have some slices of cakes/Kit Kat/Cadbury for a quick bite as I wouldnt miss even a BLINK of DBZ's epic scenes :D

Used to have DBZ birthday bash though, back in 2010. Watchin the whole Kid Boo Saga till freakin 5 o'clock morning!

I eat whatever I have available that day. Over half the time I don't eat when I watch. If I'm binge watching, it's probably late at night. I never eat during that time.

I had pepperoni pizza last Friday while watching Dragon Ball Z Kai: Season One. I'd rather have pizza or popcorn while watching Dragon Ball anime.

I watch Super over breakfast on a Sunday, so it's normally buttered crumpets (I'm so British it hurts) and green tea.

The only day of the week I drink soda anymore is when Super airs Saturday evening (in my time zone). Coca-Cola from Mexico (they sell them individually at a local supermarket). They're good because they've got regular sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup so there's no sticky aftertaste.
On hiatus.

I personally enjoy my Dragon Ball with Bacon wrapped fried chicken, cheesy mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese topped with caviar :D

Soul food..?

Anyways, I'll eat anything watching Dragon Ball... but meat and rice, chicken, or breakfast (bagel with melted cheese in the middle, yogurt, and banana).

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Crumpets are also bloody lovely with nutella. But I have PG Tips tea with them.

God save the Queen, our crumpets and tea. :)

On that I agree - although I've found that Nutella seems to work with everything. Warburtons make giant crumpets (with ample spreading surface area) at the moment which are particularly good for dousing in Nutella. :D

Chinese food. Yeah, I know Japan and China aren't the same, but I think fried rice and DB go together like peas and carrots.
