Why is Monaka still working ?

Monaka was given a ridiculous amount of gold by Beerus as payment for his participation in the tournament.

What win...? The closest I think of as a win was escaping years of emotional and mental abuse from Bulma.

Plus Yamcha failed because he was too nice. Why Bulma was able to push him around.
