Would Tenshinhan give up martial arts for Chiaotzu?
What's more important to Ten? Practicing and mastering his craft, or his lifelong companion?
I was watching the Mazoku arc, and I was a little bit put off by Ten's lack of mourning for Chiaotzu. At the end, we see him back to training, only thinking about Goku and surpassing him. Chiaotzu didn't seem to even be on his mind.

It's hard to say, he's dedicated his life to both. Ultimately, I think his best friend is more important than a career or a hobby, Tenshinhan would quit if he absolutely had to for Chouzu's well-being.
Retired.

Tenshinhan said he'd stay dead if Chaozu couldn't be revived. I'd like to think he would.

Considering how strong the bond is between the two of them, I'd imagine Tien would give up martial arts if it meant the better for Chiaotzu's well being. Tien can always do farming, if martial arts isn't an option anymore anyway.

Tenshinhan's still the strongest human but if he stopped training to take care of a sick/impoverished Chaozu then the story wouldn't change anyway.

If Ten actually wanted to get stronger, he'd spend the next ten years in the ROSAT rather than wasting time in the mountains taking tiny clown dick up his butt.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Jeez, that's hard.
Tien was ready to die for his best friend, so I would assume chiaotzu comes in top priority

Haven't we already gotten these in GT? Goku dies, the DBs go away, and the Namekian DBs most likely won't be used again because of the Evil Dragons.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Chaiotzu is like 40 years old. Just because he looks like a kid doesn't mean he is one.
