What would have Vegeta done if he killed Semi perfect Cell ?
Lets just say Krillin did destroy the Remote and let #18 live . Super Vegeta gives Semi perfect cell 5 minutes to find out #18 and absorb him and become perfect , which Cell fails to do in time .. Vegeta then gets bored and Kills Semi Perfect Cell .
What would he have done after that ??
Fight Goku ? Kill him if he can ??? And what happens if Vegeta decides not to Kill Goku but wins the fight ??? or just straight up loses it ????
PS : Lets say just after killing Cell , Vegeta finds #18 . Would he kill her too ??

Interesting because at this point Vegeta wasnt really good or bad.
The best answer I can think of assuming Vegeta defeats Goku and kills him: Goku dies but the entire team decide to begin training Gohan to defeat Vegeta. They enter the time chamber and Gohan trains.
Now the interesting part is this....does Gohan become as strong if he trains with someone else?

Probably would've challenged Goku immediately after he and Gohan exited the chamber. From there Goku toys with him for a bit then reveals how much stronger he's become and defeats him soundly. If, for whatever reason, Goku fails to defeat him then Gohan would step in like he did against Raditz and finish the job. Despite instigating the fight I think Goku would still prevent any of them from killing Vegeta, especially after he essentially just did them a huge favour by killing Cell and saving the planet. They'd be indebted to him for that at least.

What if Goku does lose somehow (cue Vegeta rage boost from humiliation) ... But Vegeta decides not to kill him .

Goku and Gohan had already entered the time chamber by the time Vegeta took off to fight Cell. After exiting the chamber both of them were strong enough to effortlessly oneshot him, so Vegeta doesn't really have a chance.GodKaio-Ken wrote:Interesting because at this point Vegeta wasnt really good or bad.

At this point in the series Vegeta doesn't really get any notable rage boosts, certainly not ones large enough to cover the massive gap between himself and Goku.DSB wrote:NitroEX wrote:Probably would've challenged Goku immediately after he and Gohan exited the chamber. Re: What would have Vegeta done if he killed Semi perfect Cell ?
Should a question like this be asked in this thread?
Anyway, I see Vegeta just killing everyone. He was still an evil prick at this stage and the Androids and Cell were really nothing more than a distraction from him killing Goku and friends.

Re: What would have Vegeta done if he killed Semi perfect Cell ?
During that fight Goku and Gohan were in the ROSAT so they'd be just as strong as they were during the Cell games.
Goku would beat Vegeta up in front of everyone and that would probably lead to him either blowing himself up to kill Goku and everyone like he did against Buu or leave the planet and come back a lot more stronger and more evil.
The only thing I can see preventing that is if Goku does what he did to him in the Buu arc and keep his power equal to his and end the fight in a tie but based on how he was talking to him after he left the room, I doubt he'd do that.

Re: What would have Vegeta done if he killed Semi perfect Cell ?
If he ran into 18, he would probably kill her too. Vegeta held no particular grudge against 18, even though she embarrassed him, by that point he knew he was far out of her league so he didn't really even think about her. He wouldn't actively seek her out, but if they happened to cross paths, he wouldn't show mercy.
His main priority would be a rematch with Goku, obviously, which, to everyone's shock, Goku easily wins. Vegeta is flabbergasted, returns to the ROSAT and comes back for round 3, only to lose again since he wouldn't be any stronger than he was at the Cell Games.
This presents a problem. If Trunks is never killed, Vegeta will never have to admit (to himself) that he cares about his son. If he doesn't cause Gohan to nearly die and very nearly allow Cell to win, he wouldn't have to put his pride aside and apologize, or use himself as the distraction. And if Goku doesn't die, he won't find purpose in his family.
He'll just continue being obsessed, probably become even angrier and more evil. He'll nearly kill himself training (I don't think he'll try and blow up the Earth, the first time he did that, he wasn't thinking. By this point he'll be more rational despite his rage, and not only will he realize that'll kill him too, but cheating won't satisfy his pride), and since Goku won't have the benefit of Otherworld training, they'll end up on par without Vegeta needing the Majin boost. I guess this means Boo won't be revived, but Vegeta remains a threat because he's just waiting until the day he surpasses Goku for good, then he'll kill everyone. And again, without Otherworld training, it's very possible Goku could be surpassed.
Not fighting Cell will also effect Gohan's growth. He'll grow into an even bigger nerd and probably won't be as self-assured as he was in the Boo arc, he'll be more hesitant like he was as a child. Perhaps on the inevitable day that Vegeta takes the upperhand on Goku, Gohan will release his hidden power and save the day, making Vegeta the end-game baddie.

Re: What would have Vegeta done if he killed Semi perfect Cell ?
That would be a great what if to see Vegeta become the villain once again after defeating Cell. Though he would lose immediately against Goku and spend the next years training with the goal of surpassing him. Gohan and Trunks surely would grow up differently.

He'd brag to Goku about how he's top saiyan now, probably challenge him some more, but no. I don't think he cares for killing anyone.
Despite all his faults and flaws, Vegeta clearly has no desire to kill any of them. At this point he wishes to show off his superiority to Goku, but still requests senzu beans from Krillin and apparently respects him enough to NOT kill 18 when she's spat out by Cell later on and he requests it. 18, Piccolo, Gohan, etc aren't challenges to him anymore so he's only interested in fighting Goku and proving he's better than him specifically.
Hell, he MAY challenge Goku to a duel to the death, but he'd still let the others revive Goku later should he be able to kill him so they can fight again. It's the only time he feels truly alive at that point.
Also he'd probably constantly rub that one in Goku's face. Goku wouldn't kill Vegeta if he overpowered him, and this is the ONLY situation I could imagine he'd start attempting to kill Goku's friends in order to provoke that bloodlust from his rival.

Re: What would have Vegeta done if he killed Semi perfect Cell ?
Once Cell falls, Vegeta probably would let Android 18 go because she's a woman and I imagine that even a ruthless space warrior (accidental Big Green dub reference,
) is moral enough to let women and children go. Goku would have left the hyperbolic time chamber (that's where he was when Cell and Vegeta were fighting right?) and had a real fight with Vegeta which Goku slimly wins. Goku doesn't die and after losing Vegeta goes and pillages the galaxy for years, then comes back to fight Goku one day. However, they have to team up again to fight Majin Buu. So basically, the story ends the same way but with a weaker Gohan and a different ending to the Cell arc.

I'm not sure if that would a good reason for Vegeta to let A18 go. Vegeta wouldn't matter if it's either a woman or male, he would just let her/him go.floofychan333 wrote:Once Cell falls, Vegeta probably would let Android 18 go because she's a woman and I imagine that even a ruthless space warrior (accidental Big Green dub reference,) is moral enough to let women and children go.

After he kills Cell:
1. Brag about how awesome he is for killing Cell.
2. Head back to the ROSAT.
3. Wait for Goku to come out.
4. Challenge him to a fight on the spot in front of their respective sons.
5. Lose.
6. Cry.
The next day:
1. Challenge Goku's ten year old son to a fight to at least get some catharsis.
2. Lose.
3. Cry.
The next day:
1. Head back into the ROSAT to hopefully surpass Goku.
2. Spend another year in there.
3. Come out much stronger.
4. Challenge Goku again.
5. Lose.

Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.
Re: What would have Vegeta done if he killed Semi perfect Cell ?
If Vegeta had killed cell, 16 would be next. Vegeta would then brag about being the best, and would wait at the time chamber for Goku. Goku would have pulled a perfect cell, and humiliate him.
Vegeta would of course cry about it afterwards, as it was the cell games rendition of him.

Re: What would have Vegeta done if he killed Semi perfect Cell ?
I never received the impression that Vegeta particularly cared about sparing women and children because of their gender and age (he's murdered and threatened the elderly, women, and children before). It's more likely his focus is exclusively set on Goku. Vegeta was happily willing to fight No. 18 when she was the current obstacle before Goku just as he was enthusiastic to entertain Cell to get it out of the way for his "future" match against Goku. His behavior on this subject is consistent: He obsessively ensures he'll get his match with Goku, or else, in the Boo arc.floofychan333 wrote:Once Cell falls, Vegeta probably would let Android 18 go because she's a woman and I imagine that even a ruthless space warrior (accidental Big Green dub reference,) is moral enough to let women and children go.

Kill #18 for making a fool outta him, challenge Goku, and lose but continue training to beat him eventually.
