Official Dragon Ball Monopoly Announced

Surprised no one is talking about this, it seems Dragon Ball has reached the points where it's acclaimed enough to get it's own official version of Monopoly.

Now the reason I bring this up is I really don't like how they used characters for the locations. Dragon Ball has so many iconic locations it just seems dumb to make them characters. Even worse some of the characters included are awful choices, as it seems to only be based on the cell error we get the cell games announced, ms piza and hercules two cronies who embarrased themselves at the cell games... why...

I was wondering what locations you guys would put in each spot in place of the characters. Surely Dragon Ball has enough to fill the Monopoly board.

Yeah my excitement was drained when I saw what the board etc will be. Cell arc era also makes no sense and why not Super since that is getting a big merchandise push. Just odd.

Tsume is making a board game for the UK so I am looking more forward to that tbh.

Using characters for the spaces feels pretty silly, but I'm not sure there are enough unique locations that anyone actually gives a crap about to actually fill out a whole Monopoly board. Most of DB Earth is uninhabited wasteland.

Like...there's Mt. Frypan, Goku's home (Mt. Paozu), Grandpa Gohan's home, that village Oolong terrorized, that town the Rabbit gang terrorized, West/North/South/East City, Papaya Island, the island #19 and #20 attacked, Ginger Town, Planet Namek, Planet Yardrat, Kaiou's world, the Supreme Kai world, whichever # Freeza Planet it was that Vegeta healed up on, Planet Arlia (filler), Fake Namek (filler), Babidi's spaceship, Karin Tower, Kami's lookout, the Room of Spirit and Time...uh...

Not a very exciting list.

- yunzabit heights
- planet namek
- Freeza's spaceship
- cell games arena
- north kais planet
- snake way
- king yenmas palace
- beerus planet
- muscle tower
- the lookout
- room of spirit and time
- son family home
- babidis ship
- hell
- shenron
- porunga (the dragons could be the last two spaces)

If you're doing super could do zen-ohs palace, zunos palace. If you do GT have a couple more locations as well.

Just because it really limits what you can do and why we get people like piza and satans goons. But i definitely understand what youre saying id agree with you cell saga is most popular although frieza would be a close second.

I'd definitely be interested in picking this up, but yeah, gotta echo the disappointment in some of the choices made for it. This could look a lot better than it does.

I think a system like "Talisman" could fit better than Monopoly, truly out of context.

They used characters instead of locations 'caue hey, it's a DB product, kid wants to see the characters.
