If Shin learn Dende heal and Guru unlock potential the story would have been vastly different especially in future Trunks timeline, since he is a supreme Kai he should be able to learn them.

Kaioshin can't heal only their attendants can. They literally lose the ability once they become kaioshin.Nodeo-Franvier wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 12:46 am If Shin learn Dende heal and Guru unlock potential the story would have been vastly different especially in future Trunks timeline, since he is a supreme Kai he should be able to learn them.
Namekian healing is probably unique to nameks anyway but if an apprentice kaioshin learned it he'd lose it upon ascending.
It's obviously set up so that they aren't meant to have it for whatever reason only zeno or the GP perhaps know, if they could bypass forgetting it by just learning a mortal version it'd defeat the whole point.
Again just because he's a kaioshin they aren't all powerful and omniscient, mortals can surpass them in raw power, who's to say the unlock thing is not unique to nameks. Or perhaps he can but ever z fighter has already realised that level of potential by the time they meet him.
Elder kai only got his mega version from fusion with that mortal witch.

Does this apply to healing technology too? If a Kaioshin tried to use one of Freeza's regeneration pods to heal someone, would it magically not work?TobyS wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 11:27 amKaioshin can't heal only their attendants can. I think Dende version is completely separate technique, And didn't spirit control grant you healing power too.TobyS wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 11:27 amKaioshin can't heal only their attendants can. Also Goku and Vegeta at that point still got quite a bit of untapped potential this can be seen in Majin Vegeta power up.
