They don't, 20th Century Fox only had distribution rights to Battle of Gods, Resurrection F and Broly, which by extension is all Disney inherited when they bought Fox. To create new animated Dragon Ball content Disney would have to buy TOEI as well.

Either way Sand Land going to Disney+ is.... unexpected, but as I hate Crunchyroll's threat of monopolising the anime industry I'm not going to complain.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

Why would he want to connect this series with Dragon Ball?

Exactly, not everything needs to revolve around it, even if it happens to feature some similar designs.

I hope it's not the case, but I wonder if he's pulling a Bruce Willis and he's trying to work on as many projects as he can because he knows something that we don't and he's not going to be around forever?

Whats your foundation for that thought process?

Unfortunately, nope. They used to be in Japan too but it didn't last.

It's possible that every country that isn't the U.S. will get it through Disney+.

We have a Hulu equivalent here in LatAm called Star+ but it's been announced that it's gonna be discontinued in favor of a fusion with Disney+ later this year.

Sandland's glowup seems to be so random and sudden. Like I guess it's a good time to be a creator with a handfull of stories, because good lord or these companies desperate for content.

I really hate that people still say this. They lost the DB movie rights long before Fox was bought by Disney.

New info wrote: The anime will debut its first seven episodes simultaneously on Disney+ Star's "STAR Anime Series" programming on March 20, and will stream on Hulu in the U.S.

The first six episodes are labeled the "Akuma no Ōji" (Prince of Demons) arc, and will feature footage from the anime film recut to a series format, with some additional footage.

Episodes 8-13 will debut one episode every Wednesday thereafter, and episodes 7-13 will be an all-new "Tenshi no Yūsha" (Angelic Heroes) arc, with the story set in a new place called "Forest Land." Toriyama conceptualized the new arc's story.
