Where is this title card or eyecatch from?
It appears at the beginning of episode 10 in the Greek dub of Dragon Ball.

The eyecatchers come from the Harmony Gold dub of OG DB, in which only the first 5 episodes and movies 1 and 3 (combined) were dubbed.TheRed259 wrote: Fri Aug 09, 2024 6:39 pm It appears at the beginning of episode 10 in the Greek dub of Dragon Ball.

I'm sorry, WHAT?
I knew that the Greek dub took materials from Latin America for the Z dub, but I didn't realize they imported from there this early.
So basically in the early 90s Latin America produced a dub (Zero Y El Dragon Magico) that recycled the masters of the Harmony Gold dub (albeit without proper M/E audio) and then dubbed another 55 episodes from the Japanese. A couple years later, Producciones Salgado produced a 60 episode dub of DB reusing the same base masters (though with proper M/E tracks for 1-5 this time). And then of course Intertrack dubbed the rest of DB contiuing where Producciones Salgado left off and with most (if not all) of the same actors.
Now I'm curious if any other Greek episodes have the HG eyecatches.

If only you could edit posts here...
Taking a cursory glance of Greek recordings from the Pilaf saga, only ep 10 has that eyecatch. It might have been included in other episodes, but I don't feel like checking. Also worth noting that with the sole exception of the eyecatch, all the footage is running at PAL speed and ep 2-5 don't conform to the HG edits like the Latino Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese episodes do.

Yeah, who knows how that particular eyecatch ended up there.Danfun64 wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 2:32 pmTaking a cursory glance of Greek recordings from the Pilaf saga, only ep 10 has that eyecatch. "ep 2-5"..... I meant to say 1-5 lol. Point still stands. Greece didn't use those masters.
