What are Physiological differences between living and dead bodies?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

What are Physiological differences between living and dead bodies?

So what are the physiological differences between living and dead bodies? When Goku gets to keep his body in the other World, how exactly does it differ from his living body?

-From what I can tell, he no longer needs to eat, sleep or drink
-He has infinite stamina in that he can never get tired but still has an upper limit in which if cross he will overexert himself
-I assume if he were ever cut, there would be no blood
-I also assume no heart beat or pulse would be found on him
-I also assume that none of his organs work and he could survive injuries that would otherwise be fatal in a living body.

(See the villains all having a spike driven through their stomach and they survived)

-Durability likely would increase

In canon there's just a vague reference to them being more durable.
Kaio points out Goku doesn't *need* to eat and it's weird he's hungry but that might have been a joke.

Otherwise nothing, I wouldn't use filler hell as precedent when it's non canon they even get bodies in the first place.

Ironically OP's image is from the toyo special chapter about the future, but not sacrificing himself for Cell he shouldn't have a body, the image is more a gag (he's looking at the camera saying he's dead) then an actual confirmation of status of bodies in the afterlife.
