"Updated text".

I really, really wonder what that means.

Are we going to get a more adult copy this go-round? Mr. Satan, maybe? Less censorship throughout? That would be so great.

Also, I've heard both soft and hardcovers on this... are there really both?

Hey, what trade paperback? Are these going to be as good as (the) kanzenban? Nobody ever answered that question.

Also, are all (of the) color pages going to be included?

If Viz ever decides to fix the edits and release these on hardcovers, I might consider buying these seeing as how I already have all the trade paperback GNs.

We really won't know until they come out.

The ad for these that ran in Viz's Shonen Jump awhile back seems to indicate that they won't be. The Kenshin VIZBIG didn't have all the color pages in color.

I see, Damn. I don't know why it is so hard for American companies to release good products.

The Kenshin one only had 2 minor pages in grayscale. The big mostly color first chapter was still mostly color.

If they had only one shot at selling something, the product would be good. But that's business anywhere. If you can sell something again, why do it right the first time?
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I like how the term "Updated Text" can go either way. It can mean we get the edited crap or that it's back to being uncensored. I really wish they'd stop being so secretive about this friggin' book and let us have some information on the product other then most of it will be in color.

I really want to know whether this is going to be more uncensored than the last release. It's pretty much what I am basing my decision of whether to purchase it or not on.

Yeah me too, but I think I'll buy it anyway, because it's my first chance to buy the Manga. What if there won't be any other release.

This is Dragon Ball you're talking about. There will never be a 'final' release. It'll keep being milked until who knows when.

I'll check out the Borders today to see if they have the books in.

I'm just glad I bought the manga when Viz first put it out; all these mutiple releases at once are just too confusing. @_@

Great, now I'm confused.

I have pre-ordered a copy of both of the Dragonball Vizbig releases, and now they could be putting out hardcover copies?..but with less pages?

The hardcover ones are just gonna be reprints of the tankobon sized graphic novels, and presumably only for volume 1 of both DB and DBZ. Viz has done this before for Ranma and Naruto and possibly other series, but I've only ever seen this for volume 1 of anything from Viz.

I predict less edits content-wise, but dialogue edits to be the same.
Panties will remain undies :(. Anyone else think that "undies" actually sounds dirtier than "panties"?
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Undies gives off a more comedic tone, like toilet humour, rather than sexual, and they'd prefer that.

I'm gonna have to get the VIZBIG Dragonball releases, they sound too damn delicious. :D

Yeah, but they've already announced the number of color pages. It doesn't match up with the number of pages there should be.
