These wikia sites popping up for nearly every fandom can be very useful, but this place has a few big problems with it.
The biggest of which I noticed after casually browsing it for an hour or so being the poor form. In many cases it does not distinguish between the japanese versions and the english versions. This would not be a big deal except misinformation has been rampant in the DB fandom for a very long time, and the people who would review them would likely be newer fans.
Oddly enough they are marking for deletion an entry under their game sections for Dragon Ball Online, which begs into question just who exactly is posting this information.
I will forever miss Planet Namek dot com. Such a great informational site.

I like to browse wiki's for fun, and that one just falls flat for me.
Honestly, if I had the time, I would probably just start an all new one, since that one isn't even kind of thorough. It would be a fun project though..

www.daizex.com is the only Dragonball site I use for information.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.
daizex is a wonderful site for dragon ball z. I wouldn't be here if I didn't feel that way. EX does a phenomenal podcast and I find the site extremely informative when breaking down specific rumors or stigmas about the series.
That being said, wikia's can be extremely good sources if you just intend on looking up a single piece of information or want a deeper look into a specific character. They serve different purposes.
EX, Mary and Julian though have to assume since you are a fan that you have a basic understanding of the series and furthermore relate almost exclusively information regarding the Japanese version.
I personally appreciate this, but like many who started on the series I began enjoying DBZ through the ocean dub and through the FUNimation dub. I would later graduate, of sorts, to the Japanese version.
The mythologies due tend to be pretty close between the English and Japanese but there were enough variations before the Japanese versions became readily available that many of us had the wrong perception of the series as a whole.
That is why an informational wiki site is so useful and important. New fans being exposed to the series should be made aware the differences as early as possible so as to avoid confusion in future conversations; that isn't even mentioning the vast army of psuedo subbies out there who have seen a few episodes and tend to BS their way in conversations about how Dragon Ball was in the Japanese or how AF was actually released but there is this major fandom conspiracy insistent upon hiding it from everyone or how they read in an official Toriyama publication all the power levels from Frieza's battle onward.
We have all ran into this, it is so rampant and so irritating because it warps the perspective of the series and the expectations of someone being newly acquainted with Dragon Ball.
Aside from these misinformations we have what I call the Fanspirocy Theories. Those who have become the super fan, they know everything about the series and have convinced themselves and unfortunately everyone else of their often times ludacrous notions on aspects of Dragon Ball. Through warped perspectives and a broken sense of logic, they can even fit The Dragon Ball Movies into the normal progression of the series.
A wiki site is absolutely needed to avoid this exact thing from taking a deeper root and confusing those going into the series for the first time further than they are willing to tolerate.

HAHAHAHA, THEY THINK BARDOCK APPEARED ON DRAGONBALL!!!!
What losers!!!
Remember when they had a bio of a Mary Sue? even though it was brief?
It was mentioned in the "Mother of Goku" thread at the beginning of the year.
Thios will jog your memory.
"Mameko was the mother of Goku, she died giving birth to him."
Here's a Larry Stu's bio too, the Stu's name is Yugo and he is not only the son of Toma and a Mary Sue but also has the power to go SSJ4.

Man, what a horrible site, I'm glad that I trust DaizEX more than that shit
, but I doubt I would have not thought of that dumb wikia site as bullshit when I was 11.

Cmon this is the site which told me that Adolf Hitler died by taking some bad cocaine!
They can be useful, But not everything is reliable!
I suppose next it's going to tell us that Goku and Vegeta were an item

Their power levels page is pretty sketchy, but it is nice how they noted which ones are from the Daizenshuu and which ones are from the anime.
This is what they have for the Trunks Saga, I don't know for sure, but the SSj Trunks power level seems OK, but it seems pretty unrealistic to be able to suppress your power level that much, anyone know if this is even close to accurate?

It's somewhat disconcerting that they seem to think "power level" and "ki" are the same thing (based on the "influence and similiar concepts" section).SSj_Rambo wrote:Their power levels page is pretty sketchy, but it is nice how they noted which ones are from the Daizenshuu and which ones are from the anime.

Their citation for giving SSJ Trunks as 150 million is that "Gohan says Trunks has the same size ki as his father". This isn't quite true. When Trunks becomes a Super Saiyan, Gohan says simply that he has "The same ki as father"; he doesn't directly say anything about size.
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?

Lordy, let's not start this again.Raz wrote:Please correct me if I am wrong but isn't it supposed to be 15,000,000 not 150,000,000?
But no, fifteen million was a mistranslation. The Daizenshuu say SSJ Goku on Namek was at 150,000,000 and his base form was 3,000,000.
Me and several others think that's unreasonably high and disregard it, but that is what it says.

Well, Kuririn says the same exact thing about Butta, Jheese and Reacoom (the wording is even the same in the Japanese manga), and he could only be referring to their power, I think. Ah, just let me quote myself from another forum:Herms wrote:It's somewhat disconcerting that they seem to think "power level" and "ki" are the same thing (based on the "influence and similiar concepts" section).SSj_Rambo wrote:Their power levels page is pretty sketchy, but it is nice how they noted which ones are from the Daizenshuu and which ones are from the anime.

Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:Not really. In the Japanese text, it's actual exactly like Kuririn's statement about the Ginyu Force.
"Th-there's no way this can be happening... E-even Vegeta couldn’t lay a finger on that Reacoom guy... And these guys have about the same ki as he did.”
(Notice the mistake that Toriyama made in this picture? Kuririn has the "go" symbol on his back (like Goku's), not the "kame" symbol. lol)
“Wha-what the?! Thi-this ki is…!!!”
“It-it’s my father!!! That’s the same ki that my father had that time [on Namek]!!”
The bolded parts are worded exactly the same in Japanese. And notice what they're freaking out about? Everyone is freaking out about the size/strength of Trunks's ki, and then Gohan says "That's the same ki that my father had that time!!"
From the context, it looks like he's referring to the size as well.
“Whaaaaaaat’re ya talkin’ about~?! I can use the Shunkan Idô, ya know?! If I search for a ki that resembles Piccolo’s, I’ll find the planet where the Namekians are at!”
The bolded part in this line is different than the other two lines.
I think it's a very reasonable estimation. There are manga facts to prove it. Anyone who says it seems too big is probably just too used to the 15,000,000/12,000,000 mistranslations.Rocketman wrote:Lordy, let's not start this again.Raz wrote:Please correct me if I am wrong but isn't it supposed to be 15,000,000 not 150,000,000?

Again, let me quote myself (this time from this very forum):
Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:You can actually work out the math for yourself easily.
Piccolo is over 1,000,000 after merging with Nail, since he bested second form Freeza, who's battle power was said to be "over 1,000,000." Third form Freeza is considerably stronger than that, as is his initial level of power when he reaches his fourth form. Vegeta is the only one who can see Freeza's movements when he powers up after being healed by Dende, so I'd put him at 2,000,000 at the very minimum.
Now, Freeza kills Vegeta with no effort at all, so he has to be at least at 3,000,000 at this point. When Goku is powered up after being healed in the healing tank, he is stated to be fighting evenly with Freeza. So, Goku's base level of 3,000,000 given in the Daizenshuu isn't a stretch at all.
From there, it's simple. Going by these rough calculations, Goku's Kaiô-Ken x20 attack would give him a battle power of about 60,000,000, as stated in the Daizenshuu. Freeza easily blocks Goku's Kaiô-Ken x20-enhanced Kamehameha with one hand, only saying that "That really hurt!!" This means that Freeza at 50% power would have to be over 60,000,000, meaning that at 100% power, he'd have to be over 120,000,000.
Goku's Super Saiyan reading of 150,000,000, therefore, is probably pretty spot-on. Meaning Piccolo, who could defeat a person somewhere near Super Saiyan Goku's level (who, at this point, is much stronger from his training), would have to have a battle power of at least 100,000,000 after his training.
This is reinforced by a statement by Kuririn:
"H-he's strong...! What kind of training did Piccolo do...? H-he's not even a Super Saiyan..."
