Favorite American-made DBZ Game
Hello! Here I am, with an interesting post.
We all know that the majority of DBZ Games are made in Japan, mostly by Namco-Bandai, then are distributed here by Atari. Most of the time, the games are well recieved. However, the majority of American-made DBZ games are not. Which games, however, in your opinion, are your favorites?
I happen to like Legacy of Goku 2, which is tied with Legendary Super Warriors. I'm not sure if LSW is American, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

TLoG II improved so much on the half-decent formula used on the first. And unfortunately, the third lost its touch.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Legendary Super Warriors is a Japanese-made game.
I've always liked the Legacy of Goku games, even the first one, but I think Buu's Fury is my favorite. Though I loved the scouter system in LoG II, where you could scan any random person and thing, including dogs and butterflies, and it'd give you their exact stats. I just love that attention to detail. You can sort of still do that in Buu's Fury, but you can only see the stats of playable characters or enemies.

Legacy of Goku 2 ALL THE WAY. That game was revolutionary, IMO. In Buu's Fury... every single enemy was easy as hell because if you just backed them into a corner and started punching... they wouldn't even move! That really made the game a little less challenging and fun. Legacy of Goku 1 was pretty much bad... right once you start the game... you have squirrels and things that are like, freakin 2-3 times stronger than you? I mean... what's up with that?
--Fanboy rant over--
LOG 2 = Best
Buu's Fury = In between
LOG = Worst
Yeah.

Yeah.
you know that there was a cheat code within the game or invincibility?
It was so buggy, you could become invincible just by getting hit by ki when "flying".

Haha, yep... Hitting the D-Pad and A+B (forgot the combination lol) during the little "title sequence"... or American DBZ Opening #1. lolVenomSymbiote wrote:God i hated being so weakDBZGokuSaiyan wrote:Legacy of Goku 2 ALL THE WAY. Same here! I LOVED that game a lot. I looked everywhere for it when it first came out. It was like nowhere to be found! Not even in GAMESTOP or BEST BUY, people! The controls were a little clunky. But the game was a joy ride! I beat it the first day I got it, in like 2-3 hours, though.NeptuneKai wrote:It's a toss-up between Buu's fury and LOG2...although for some odd reason I semi-enjoy DBGT Transformations despite the controls being a tad stiff.
Buu's Fury is better than LoG2 for one major reason - no goddamn egg-carrying. Also, Vegetto.
I also thought Sagas was actually decent for several reasons:
-I never encountered the supposed huge amount of glitches other people have (but then, I've never had Windows BSOD on me either).
-It had characters that had never been in a game up 'til then.
-A actiony beat-em-up was a welcome difference from the endless array of fighting games - it was like LOG in 3D.
-Two player co-op!

Sagas was actually really good at first, IMO. But then, it got "out-dated", if y'know what I mean. LOGII's egg-carrying was a challenge... but it was pretty damn fun. lolRocketman wrote:Buu's Fury is better than LoG2 for one major reason - no goddamn egg-carrying. Also, Vegetto.

@ForgottenHero: Haha cool! I always loved that last battle with Cell... and I always wanted to use SS2 Teen Gohan outside of that battle. My friend used an Action Replay to pimp out his characters... and in turn... he stayed in everyone's transformed state nearly forever... and their health never went down. And he repeatedly handed Cooler his ass for at least 2-3 hours continuously and non-stop, with each character. -.-* I really loved playing as Hercule... he was worth it with those super awesome, full of win attacks!

That always bugged me, especially because they have Gohan wearing a Piccolo outfit earlier in the game, so why not use it for the Cell Games Gohan sprite? They could just have him come out of the Room of Spirit and Time already wearing it.omegacwa wrote:The only thing I didn't like about LOG2 was that Gohan fights as SSJ2 in Saiyan Armor. Would it really have taken that long to change him back to his piccolo outfit.
But that aside, LoG2 is a pretty good game. Did anyone notice that in the key-stealing hermit's house, you can get experience points by hitting the punching bag? It's a really small amount each time you hit it, so it's not very good to level up with unless you're just on the very brink of going up a level, but it's still a neat detail.

Well, I agree with the general consensus about LOG2 being the best U.S DBZ game.
The only thing that I didn't like, was the fact that you couldn't do battle with Mecha Freeza & Cold along with their henchmen. Instead, we have to look at SSJ Trunks take all of them out, though that was very cool too.
Some of you are seriously underestimating Taiketsu.

You didn't like the how Goku had to turn SSJ just to use the Spirit Bomb? That was greatness in itself.
The cover of the game surely didn't give us the proper hint of what the game really was capable of, though.
