Catch Me Up On News!

Hey, guys!

We're back! It's been a wonderful time, and I absolutely adored being away from all of you for over a week . Seems like everything went more or less smoothly and as-planned while gone, so that's great to come back to.

I really need some help, though. It's a little bit of a daunting task to go through all of the posts and catch up on general conversations, nevermind all the news on top of that.

Here's what I need you to do:

Reply and give me a brief overview of a piece of news, and most importantly, the source that goes along with it. This is *not* for general discussion of those pieces of news; feel free to link me to a respective forum thread, but I need something I can quickly skim through, dissect, and research without the extraneous discussion (simply because there's been so much time to catch up on).

All the movies are only $4.99 and if you look around you will see some episode DVD's in there as well. This is probley because of the double feature releases and the season sets. But hey, just throwing this out there.

Cooler double-feature being advertised for HD DVD, for some reason:

(This is really more of a crazy rant then anything else.)

If you read that subject line and thought "I thought that format is dead, why would they release anything on HD-DVD ?" then you are smarter then FUNimation.

I recently went to the DragonBall Z website, saw the splash page for the new double feature and noticed something...



Yea, it says you can pre-order it on HD-DVD. I clicked the link because I was shocked they would do that, and it ended up being just the regular DVD release. Wow. Godofchaos is probley spinning in his grave right now.

That, and the special being streamed on the 24th are all I've noticed.

--Season 8 having Majin Vegeta on the cover has also been confirmed.

Recent stuff that I suggest also be mentioned in order to appease the masses that have gone hungry for news and announcements while you were gone:

-New Dragonball Z game for the Lets! TV Play system.

-Reliable link to the live-action Dragonball trailer is now available.

-Covers for the hard cover collectors editions of the VIZ DB and DBZ manga volumes.

-Images of the DB and DBZ manga box-sets have been released.

-All of the character design sheets for the new special are up over at Kanzentai (just in case people are still bugging you for them).
