Planet Freeza No. 79 is a fictional celestial body that appears in the Dragon Ball franchise, one of an unknown number of planets under Freeza's control in Universe 7.

At the time of Vegeta's landing on November 22 in Age 762[4], several other members of Freeza's organization are present on Planet Freeza No. 79. Other than Kewi, all of these characters are unnamed in these initial appearances, and are instead given descriptive names in supplemental media, including their 1990s Carddass cards[3], and two characters receiving different descriptors each in 1996's Dragon Ball Daizenshuu 7: Dragon Ball Large Encyclopedia[5] and 2013's Dragon Ball Chōzenshū 4: Dragon Ball Super Encyclopedia[6], respectively:

  • Planet Warrior A (惑星戦士A Wakusei Senshi A)[3] / Planet Freeza No. 79 Controller (惑星フリーザNo.７９の管制員 Wakusei Furīza Nanbā Sebunti Nain no Kansei-in)[5]: A mustached, human-esque alien with a scouter, depicted with blue hair in the television series and red hair in his Carddass card; ostensibly mans the control room.[2][7]

Name

Planet Freeza No. 79 uses the phrasing structure of 惑星 (wakusei) + name similar to "Planet Vegeta", as opposed to name + 星 (sei) similar to "Planet Namek".

Per the furigana alongside the abbreviation and numerals, the number within the planet's name is spoken aloud in English as "number seventy nine".[7]
