Dragonball: Evolution The Junior Novel (stylized as DRAGONBALL: EVOLUTION The Junior Novel) is the primary, complete novelization of the 2009 theatrical film Dragon Ball Evolution, penned by Stacia Deutsch and Rhody Cohon.
The novelization, distributed by Viz under the "Viz Kids" imprint, was also released alongside a three-part "chapter book" series by Viz.

Goku thought he was a normal high school student until he found out he's actually a martial-arts whiz with all kinds of powers. Now he and his fellow teen warriors are on a quest to find all the Dragon Balls before they call into the wrong hands. But they may already have! Goku must battle the evil madman Piccolo with all he's got to save the planet Earth!
Over 15 chapters and a short epilogue chapter, the full story of the respective theatrical film is adapted.
The junior novelization, like the corresponding PlayStation Portable video game, is notable for including "full names" of "Bulma Enchanto" and "Chi Chi McRoberts" (which were not used in the final version of the actual film's script).

Retailer listings for a novelization were discovered in August 2008.[1] An early version of the book's cover art, still using the placeholder "Dragonball The Movie" title, was used in these early retailer listings (some of which persist to this day).
Viz formally announced the junior novelization and a three-part "chapter book" series through an official press release in March 2009:[2][3]
