Monsal is a planet that was destroyed by Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7, 160 years before he met Son Goku. This fact is mentioned in passing by Whis in Dragon Ball Super Episode 4, which premiered on Fuji TV in Japan on 02 August 2015.
Overview
After Beerus destroyed Planet Monsal, Whis prepared him a meal consisting of grilled salmon from Planet Wartrin and chicken nanban from Nebula 65.[1]
Name

The name "Monsal" (モンサー monsā) is likely an anagram of the katakana spelling of "salmon" (サーモン sāmon) — because it is the exact same syllables from the Japanese approximation of the word rearranged (as opposed to perhaps, for example, a variation on the Japanese word 鮭 or sake), "Monsal" is the spelling decided upon for our style guide here at Kanzenshuu.
Across the subtitles for the original Dragon Ball Super television series simulcast on Crunchyroll, the subtitle retranslation by Steve Simmons for FUNimation's home video release, and FUNimation's own English dub, the name "Monsa" is used as a spelling and pronunciation for the planet name.
