Re: Evolution of Goku's Gi Colours

And the trademark orange led to his Saiyan name Kakarotto.

I do agree that it's unfortunate that the anime went with a more reddish color (and for so long).

Re: Evolution of Goku's Gi Colours

As Toriyama eventually explained , the color is meant to be orange in reference to what Shaolin monks wore (the shade of orange can differ but it's usually light orange): How did you decide on the coloring of costumes, such as the main characters’ [clothes] and the Kamesen-school dōgi? For the color...

I just want to clarify again that, in this argument of technicalities and semantics, the upper atmosphere is space, everywhere is space, we all live in space on a daily basis.
Just to clarify, we are all half centaur.

Re: Since Goku and Bardock both fought in space, can Saiyans survive upper atmosphere?

"Saiyans can't breathe in space" and "saiyans can breathe where there's no free oxygen or air pressure to actually allow the diaphragm to function" is a contradiction. Again, what are you even arguing about? Upper atmosphere is not space and vice versa. Saiyans can survive in the upper atmosphere. ...

Re: Since Goku and Bardock both fought in space, can Saiyans survive upper atmosphere?

That's literally what I just said. No, it isn't literally what you just said. You said "it's just some Toriyama bullshit", a nonsensical reductive statement implying some incoherence or inconsistency on his part when there's nothing of the sort. You brought up human limitations when nobody is talki...

Re: Since Goku and Bardock both fought in space, can Saiyans survive upper atmosphere?

Please direct me to the Daizenshuu article where it talks about the ability for saiyans to breathe ozone. In extremely low pressures where lungs literally can't function. I'll wait. What are you even talking about? Saiyans are not human. They are a fictional race in a fictional franchise. They are ...

Did you mean to type "doesn't mean they can't"?
No. I meant exactly what I typed: the fact that they can survive in the former (upper atmosphere) doesn't mean they can do the same for the latter (space).

Goku and Bardock didn't fight in space, and there's no reason to assume they can.

Re: Since Goku and Bardock both fought in space, can Saiyans survive upper atmosphere?

The bottom of the ocean is "part of the ocean", that doesn't mean you can survive there just because you can swim on the top of it. That's not the question being asked. The point is that the upper atmosphere is not space. The fact that they can survive in the former doesn't mean they can do the sam...

Neither fought in space. They fought within their respective planet's atmosphere.

Resurrection 'F'

I liked, and still do, many aspects of it. But as a whole, the overall experience and entertainment value have waned significantly.

Kazé Germany announced today to release both Dragon Ball Z TV specials alongside the Dragon Ball GT TV special inside one Blu-ray box on 18 March 2021 (ETA): This will be the first time the restored masters from Toei of the TV specials will be released on Blu-ray, right? I'm looking forward to it.

Dragon Ball Z: Buyū Retsuden for the Sega Mega Drive. Unfortunately it was only in japanese, so it was hard to navigate the menus, but it had great gameplay and a nice character roster to choose from.

Re: Old Broly VS New Broly

I'm sorry, but they're literally the same. Sure you've got some differences here and there, but it's basically the same character with the same backstory. It basically isn't, hence the considerable differences and why people prefer one over the other. The fact that there are similar elements doesn'...

Re: Old Broly VS New Broly

The new Broly. Not necessarily because he's a great character (although he's still miles better than the old one), but because of everything that surrounds it. His backstory, Paragus, Cheelai, Lemo and how he relates with them. Everything is much more engrossing and interesting. And as a result it m...

Also saying that our market doesn't justify it would make sense a few years ago but not anymore, our market his growing more and more, hell in Comic-Con last year the second biggest panel was the My Hero Academia panel only losing to Millie Bobby Brown. Plus all the anime movies that keep coming to...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal

If Loy was still doing Vegeta, I would actually be interested in a BOG and ROF dub. But with the current Vegeta voice actor? No thanks.

A Kai dub won't happen. That's a huge project and our market doesn't justify it.

Re: Toriyama's Dragon Ball Super ideas

Strange, I wonder if Toriyama actively stated to the staff and Toyotarō that Goku and Vegeta could still go regular Super Saiyan’s? I mean, we still have the whole Universe 6 tournament before Black even shows up. It's a pity, but it's more likely that pressure was made for the transformations not ...
