While he's not the most recognizeable name, One time U.F.C. Welterweight champion Carlos Newton is a big fan. He even named his fighting style in tribute to the series, " Dragonball Jiu Jitsu" which I found quite interesting.

UPDATE; the huge bundle I ordered was missing one tape for the fusion saga. So I went ahead and ordered the uncut saga for a measly sum of seven bucks on ebay. It just arrived today, in fantastic shape! Can't wait to watch it. Still looking for the perfect cell saga, uncut frieza saga, cell games ...

I grew up in Canada and had no idea what anime was as a kid. I can't remember which one I watched first but my first two anime were pokemon and Dbz. I was much more a fan of dbz.

As far as the VHS tapes go, I have a few Uncuts, but I mostly collect the Edited ones, because the uncut version is on the single DVD's, which I'm also collecting, albiet much more slowly. My most recent purchase was ordering season 1 of the blue brick dragonball set, and season five of the Orange Dbz brick set. Currently on a mission to collect both dragonball and dragonball z complete on vhs and dvd, so I still have a long way to go.
