Re: Was Cell perfect? What exactly was perfect about him?
Cell was perfect, because in little to no time, he had children that were just like him. Piccolo Daimao had no such feat, except when he spun himself off, and lived to see his own growth. Cell was a narcisist, however, while Piccolo did it for survival.

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions
Speaking of Cell, is anyone reminded of his mouth when looking at the mirror, by wearing a cirurgy mask? I'm obviously speaking of Imperfect Cell. Sometimes it makes me wonder whether or not he was born like that to prevent the polution of the Earth's destruction from corrupting his perfection

Re: 2021 Dragonball Game predictions?
I expect a game that is more essential than hype, somewhat like Hyper Dimension and Super Dragon Ball Z, which didn't bloat the roster like Super Butoden and Budokai before them, and kept their vision down to different media, respectively the anime and the manga. They could try to make one that abri...

Re: Hit's Time-Skip in the manga
Without a fighting stance, Hit is more subject to move slower than with a stance - imagine yourself trying to fight with hands on pockets or with your legs covered - so even if he can gain some time by skipping it, he still has to take action on the opening that he just gained. Doing what? Putting h...

Re: Does Toriyama's subverting of power vs appearance gets old to you?
Vegeta did get monstrous and more powerful, but nobody expected him to be defeated in that form... The Majin Boo arc would be missing out on its best ending had Vegetto finished the job, but the tall and fit evil Boo was not as vicious as the final one, because he seemed clunky and looked slow. I th...

Should I interpret "the user Desassina... their inputs..." as somekind of jab meant to hint at a double personality disorder? Because I'm kind of tired of your attempts at subtle jokes which get the message across to anyone and me (not but me). This was after a certain private message by the way.

Aim, try not to be so oblivious about everything and seek your own answers, because these incessant questions are keeping a topic that bothers people alive, and I'm saying this because I didn't realize that I had been wrong all the time, for which I apologize to Adamant and everyone who's been on th...

Re: Kakarot vs Kakarotto - The Vegerot/Vegetto(ito) effect
If you look at what the name Tsufuru-jin is a pun of - i.e. furuutsu , which translates into fruits - you'll see that a double vowel before the -tsu will demand that its syllable ends with a -ts sound. What does this mean to Raditz? Look at a similar name in Katatz: they were both transliterated wit...

Re: If you were a Saiyan, what path would you go through to get stronger?
First, train my weakness, the tail. Then, control myself while in Oozaru form, and rip my own tail off. Last, but not the least, retain the Oozaru power in human form. The difference between me and Broly is that I wouldn't have a traumatic event. It's based on choice and that alone.

I thought Cabba was accurate? I have no clue where "Ultra Instinct" came from, did official translations get that from us fans or...? In some countries, Kyabe and Cabe were used instead of Cabba, which comes from kyabetsu (cabbage). In the first case, its meaning was not taken directly into transla...

Re: Kakarot vs Kakarotto - The Vegerot/Vegetto(ito) effect
No, actually, Krillin's official name is クリリン . You can't read that, because it's in Japanese, but you can transliterate (i.e. transform the Japanese characters in his name into Roman letters) into kuririn , which is only a middle step towards a complete translation into another language. It involve...

Re: Kakarot vs Kakarotto - The Vegerot/Vegetto(ito) effect
Ok, I will clarify all of my examples with even more of them, because some Toriyama puns are born out of pronunciation (whose romanization we should transcribe), others from their written form (which we can translate), but one does not rule out the other when in fact they're both used. "With all due...

Re: Deploy the Headcanon!
Or are you saying that Cell's intervention created a timeline that Trunks was able to intervene in , which in turn created both 'our' timeline and another where somehow Goku dies anyway, and things turn out like in Trunks's time, which is in turn the timeline Cell comes from ? I guess I'm still bum...

Re: Deploy the Headcanon!
Goku never killed Freeza and King Cold in their arrival. Cell was the first entity from the future to arrive before all the changes took place and he remembered Trunks as the one who did it. Goku would have killed them, but did not and Trunks was therefore in Cell's history, before it changed furth...

Re: Kakarot vs Kakarotto - The Vegerot/Vegetto(ito) effect
I'm more concerned with the process than with accuracy. Using the Portugal and French dub's flawed translation to disapprove of how Kuririn is supposed to be read isn't logical because the former two weren't used to justify it. Those dubs were actually used to justify Kakarrotto with both R because ...

Re: Kakarot vs Kakarotto - The Vegerot/Vegetto(ito) effect
Kuri is supposed to be read as two consonants with a vowel in one go: "kri". In some cases, you only switch the R for an L when there are two syllables, such as in Metaru Kuura (Metal Coola). The U in Metaru replaces what we think is a third syllable with a sound that resembles Metal (only two syll...
