I like how all the animation smears emphasise that this Goku’s arms are chunkier than Steve’s from Minecraft.
Also, they fucking better include the Super Saiyan 3 shirt rip as part of the intro animation.

Re: Do you think Dragon Ball will be remembered in 60 years?
Indeed, but they're still actively publishing new stuff, the MCU is a multibillion dollar franchise by this point, and DC just rebooted their universe thanks to James Gunn, it's not like they're letting people forget that they exist, we know that Benjamin Parker is going to die. By comparison ...

Re: Do you think Dragon Ball will be remembered in 60 years?
I think Dragon Ball has made a large enough cultural impact that it will at least be remembered, but whether it has a relevant, active fandom is a very different proposition. I personally doubt it will still have the latter. Most big IPs come back in waves to both recapture a nostalgic audience and ...

Most unrealistic part of this scene is the idea of #18 washing Krillin's underwear.

Broly was a visual spectacle, no one will argue against that, but what did it bring to the table in terms of the story ?
Broly is a movie about generational influence and the importance of having independence from that influence. This theme has been pointed out and discussed ad infinitum over ...

Tangential point but is there a reason why the latest announcements have not been covered on the main Kanzenshuu site yet? It’s been a few days now.

Re: The TV Anime Series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be broadcast on Fuji TV in the fall of 2026
Ajay says that there are more substantial changes as the series goes on, so if someone who actually knows how to direct and has good animators on hand can oversee the Golden Freeza arc's enhanced version, we might just be in store for a version of that story that doesn't suck lol.
We don't know ...

Re: The TV Anime Series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be broadcast on Fuji TV in the fall of 2026
I wonder how far they're going to take this. If the rumours about each remastered arc only being six episodes are true, that won't be so bad, but I think fans will quickly lose patience with another Golden Freeza arc. The original Beerus arc still has some goodwill, since it's based on a solid ...

This is going the be the Snyder Cut of Dragon Ball Super, basically, lol, or better Toriyama's Cut. Finally get to see the man's true vision of the respective arcs.
Yeah, I think the comparisons are inevitable. It's rare for studios to show weakness by essentially throwing their hands up and ...

Re: I would have preferred these aliens/demons that Akira Toriyama drew over the Gendarmerie Force
Man, this artwork jumped back into my head to live rent free so I had to come back and find it.
Unrelated to the point of the OP (I’m still firmly on the “fuck the Gendarmerie Force” train, no change to report there), this brought me back to the age old thought experiment of ‘what if Dragon Ball Z ...

Re: Dragon Ball Official Worldwide Character Popularity Poll
I don’t mind that it’s purely focused on the original manga, it’s actually cool that the website is very aesthetically focused on it. But yeah, with the proliferation of spear-carriers and other meme picks (Farmer with Shotgun is not in that category however, he is 100% valid), the results seem ...

Re: In order to continue DB's story in an authentic manner, Jump should create a Toriyama AI bot
Art by other animals is still art because they are living beings. An art piece from an Elephant is art and not a picture from a bot. Even a drawing from an extraterrestrial would still be art because they would be a living and breathing life form like we are.
Agreed, I don't think art ...

How would Toriyama have rewritten each individual arc?
Inspired by the surprising amount of discussion surrounding Resurrection 'F' , I was thinking about Muten Roshi's expanded role as a member of the Dragon Team in that film and all subsequent Super storylines. Roshi's return was warmly welcomed by some, but many fans still justifiably question his ...

Re: Character fusing
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think in the original Japanese, the characters don't make a great distinction between Fusion and gattai (合体), or "uniting". So that also encompasses the absorption abilities of Cell and Buu to some extent. Vegetto and Evil Buu talked about how the latter united ...

Re: What did you think of the final fights with Gomah?
I agree with you, I just want to point out what I think is a major underlying issue:
In the script for Dragon Ball Z: Ressurection F, we see that Toriyama doesn't really write out character beats during the fight like he would have when drawing the original comic week to week. We see this again ...

Of course, it feeling like a desperate struggle was most likely made possible specifically because of the lack of cutaways OP mentioned. Seems like people wanted some ideological prattling between the opposing sides or something, but the show had been meticulously building the reasons for this ...

new skins for SS Goku and Vegeta that turn them Super Saiyan 4.
Should’ve clarified, I meant GT SS4 skins. Gameplay wise, they’d play identically to the base roster SS1 Goku and Vegeta, with a few cosmetic changes like changing Goku’s level 3 into a red x10 Kamehameha and Vegeta’s level 3 into a ...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread
Isn't it strange how we never got a playable black-haired Super Saiyan 4, outside of GT Goku's super move? Gogeta also rocks the red hair. Considering that models for GT SS4 Goku and Vegeta are already in the game, and there are old unused sound files for x10 Kamehameha, I would not be too surprised ...

Re: What did you think of the final fights with Gomah?
There were some things I really liked, and some I thought could've been done much better. I'll get the bad out of the way first, because I need to explain the negatives to contextualise the parts I enjoyed.
