Because it is a soft vinyl figure you can submerge the parts in boiling hot water for about 15- 30 seconds and the vinyl will soften up and be easier ...

The figure is not worth $100, so you're getting a good deal. The figure should also include clear blue effects that plug into Goku's shoulder and legs. I just mention it cause I don't see them in your picture.

The rarest figures that JAKKS made came from their GT line. Nova Shenron , General Rildo in armor , and Omega Shenron from this 2 pack were probably the rarest. Bardock and Battle Damaged Bardock were rare, but the price seems to be determined by the popularity of the character.
