Re: Times Dragon Ball has been on Disney+

Better to just hook up your laptop to your tv thru HDMI and watch it with the VPN activated to UK since the Japanese audio track is available there.

Wonder if this is the first time any Super Beerus merch has been distributed?

It appear so. The Bandai booth was packed and I've heard you had to spend at least $1000 ...

Re: Japanese editions of the Dragon Ball manga

As I've originally read the manga through the Hong Kong Chinese editions (and sometimes the Taiwanese editions if HK editions were unavailable), I kinda wanna buy the old Hong Kong tankoubon. What I have at home is only most of the Buu saga.

I'd be hard pressed to find second hand copies of the ...

Dragon Ball presence at Hong Kong Comic-Con

Looks like there'll be something Dragon Ball related for the Hong Kong Comic-Con this weekend. Hong Kong Comic-Con ambassador and actor-producer Louis Koo standing right behind Goku with the Kamehameha pose. Some of you might need to note Louis Koo's nerd cred cuz he stores his 1:1 scale figures in ...

Re: Would you like Dragon Ball to get an AI dub?

A while ago, I saw someone post episodes of Dragon Ball Kai dubbed in Mandarin on RedNote with the Japanese voice cast through AI and it just sounded weird.

Re: History of Dragon Ball in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and China

Broly and Super Hero were also released in mainland China on May 24, 2019 and January 6, 2023 respectively. Singapore also got both movies on December 27, 2018 and September 1, 2022 .

Oh, and Resurrection F and Broly got mainland dubs, but they were unofficial like Shanghai Audio & Visual ...

Re: Has the extended version of the Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' movie been dubbed into any language?

The 3D BluRay version of DBZ Resurrection F was released in Hong Kong. There is a store that still has a few copies on sale but it might be the last of them as Deltamac has exited the Hong Kong market for a number of years.

Looks like the voice actor who played Kamesennin in the Liaoning dub of Dragon Ball passed away at the age of 90.

Re: Goku and Vegeta as Marital Artists

Vegeta has certainly become a better marital artist than Goku over the years. He treats Bulma better than how Goku treats Chichi. 🤣

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

Since I bought DBZ Kakarot from the Hong Kong Nintendo eshop, it's already January 15th over there. Downloading the DLC right now as we speak. Will have to catch up with the last DLC since I kinda stopped playing it for awhile and start catching up.

It's going to take at least an hour to finish ...

Re: History of Dragon Ball in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and China

TVB is downsizing in recent years. Fired most of their voice actors, closed down their subtitles crew, I could go on...

Why are they downsizing. Budget cuts?

Company restructuring, I guess.
By the way, the Cantonese dub of Dragon Ball Daima has started airing on Viu TV but I don't have VPN ...

Re: History of Dragon Ball in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and China

It's a shame TVB didn't even bother to dub DB Kai: The Final Chapters into Cantonese.
