Re: Goku and Vegeta as Marital Artists

Vegeta has certainly become a better marital artist than Goku over the years. He treats Bulma better than how Goku treats Chichi. 🤣

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

Since I bought DBZ Kakarot from the Hong Kong Nintendo eshop, it's already January 15th over there. Downloading the DLC right now as we speak. Will have to catch up with the last DLC since I kinda stopped playing it for awhile and start catching up.

It's going to take at least an hour to finish ...

Re: History of Dragon Ball in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and China

TVB is downsizing in recent years. Fired most of their voice actors, closed down their subtitles crew, I could go on...

Why are they downsizing. Budget cuts?

Company restructuring, I guess.
By the way, the Cantonese dub of Dragon Ball Daima has started airing on Viu TV but I don't have VPN ...

Re: History of Dragon Ball in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and China

Broly and Super Hero were also released in mainland China on May 24, 2019 and January 6, 2023 respectively. Singapore also got both movies on December 27, 2018 and September 1, 2022 .

Oh, and Resurrection F and Broly got mainland dubs, but they were unofficial like Shanghai Audio & Visual ...

It's a shame TVB didn't even bother to dub DB Kai: The Final Chapters into Cantonese.

Re: Dragon Ball Project: Multi, a new MOBA from Gambarion

I'm used to playing MOBA games on the cell phone and have been playing arena of Valor like that for years but when it came for Nintendo Switch, it was a disaster! Gekishin Squadra plays very much like Arena of Valor and works better on the cell phone.

Fan-made or not, it's still behavior that is disrespectful and not something that should be encouraged.

There's also this...

Now that's an episode I want to see.

I'd like to see how Goku fights cancer too🤣🤣🤣

Re: How would you feel about AI being used for deceased voice actors?

That's terrible news, yikes. I hope things turn around soon, because I'm not looking forward to this sort of ghoulish behavior continuing.

It's fan-made and not anything official. There were also instances where the picture goes out of sync. Was interesting to hear the original cast ...

Re: How would you feel about AI being used for deceased voice actors?

Well in Chinese social media sites, someone is already using AI to create a Mandarin dub of Dragon Ball Kai using the voices of the Japanese cast speaking in Mandarin-Chinese.

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

So I finally sat down and spent the time to start playing the Daima DLC for Dragon Ball Kakarot. My quick first takes on it? It does not adapt DB Daima 1:1. Some things were altered for length. The inability to fly is really getting on my nerves. And due to my copy is purchased thru the Hong Kong ...

Re: Dragon Ball Project: Multi, a new MOBA from Gambarion

This game RULES!! I’ve never even sniffed at a MOBA game prior to this one and while the game play isn’t my typical forte it’s pretty fun. The Biggest compliment this game has going for it though is that the characters have never had THIS MUCH life poured into them in a video game it surpasses ...

Re: McDonald's/Dragon Ball Daima cross-promotion

Looks like the Dragon Ball Daima cross promotion is back at McDonald's. Only this time in Malaysia. Pretty much the same thing Hong Kong had last year but the packaging is now all in English. I don't quite understand why the word "samurai" had to be thrown into their burger meals. Since when did ...

Re: All voice actors of adult Goku and Vegeta around the world (2025 Update)

Yu Zheng Chang (于正昌) from the TV dub of Dragon Ball Z returns as Goku in the Mandarin dub of Dragon Ball Daima while Wu Kaidi (吴恺笛) is the new VA for Vegeta (Dar) that gets added to the list of the many actors who have voiced him in this language.

I believe Yu Zheng-chang was also the Mandarin ...

Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread

I'll probably import and pick up a physical copy of either the Switch 1 or Switch 2 version. Most likely grab the Hong Kong version just to have the packaging in Chinese since I have the Japanese digital copy for PS5 (game's in English).

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

Finally finished the end of Z DLC without playing much of the side quests and ready to start the Daima DLC. I'll come back to end of Z side quests later. There's no English dub or even subtitles on my copy. Bandai seemed to have make it a mission to exclude any signs of English in their games ...
