In my opinion the whole transformation was imo at least up there with Goku unlocking SSJ4 in GT, Goku unlocking Ultra Instinct in Super, Goku unlocking SSJ3 In Z

The dragon being a recycled Porunga (in both name and shape) is yet another lazy point.

Because it's popular, that's literally it. In fact, that's been the justification for all call backs to previous events in the modern era.

This has to be the worst looking Ssj4(counting all Heroes variants), the worst looking transformation, and the worst Goku has ever looked, It looks so bad I can't believe anyone can defend it. :sick:

This was a pleasant surprise... I didn't expect for this to happen because it would contradict Super. The only way to make sense of all of this is if Nevah actually wipes everyone's memories of the events.

I still love it and am looking forward to more! Hope to see Vegeta get his moment in there ...

If there will be another anime post Daima maybe call Toyo if he can help Iyoku and co with the anime writing that they could cover each other weaknesses(Toyo can bring some writing cohesiveness while Iyou and DB room bring the entertainment aspect like what Super had)

Heavy agree to disagree at play here.

GT ain't perfect, but it did the bare minimum of giving the characters arcs, something the Daima characters desperately need.
And even then, both of them fall very hard in comparison to other light-hearted adventure shows like Digimon Adventure ...

I thought this episode was okay, but I have a few complaints:

1. After the slow pacing of this series up until this point, why is it the Goku vs Duu fight that gets rushed? Could we not focus the episode on them, then have Goma show up at the end?

2. Goma shows up, and Goku sees him as such a ...

^ Except the fourth episode was great. The entire first half of the show was consistently great.

Daima still has enough time to provide some satisfactory payoff. We'll see if it succeeds.

As I expected, it was a really good episode, full of action and visually smooth. However, I do have some nitpicks:

• Fake tension is pretty annoying, and I don’t even blame Daima for it since it’s something that shows up in other DB animated series, but seriously, why can’t the writers just think ...

If the climax is Goku vs Jiren level of great in terms of animation then that would easily put Daima over GT by a big margin imo

Trunks vs Merged Zamasu wasnt that nonsensical in Super because he inherited Goku and Vegeta god ki, now the whole Spirit Sword bomb was a whole different case

If Yamcha was going to show up on Daima then now Toei is forced to replace him.

Man I'm in shocked for what happened, really really disappointing.

I wont mind a Broly retelling if we get to see what was cut from the movie, and also extend some scenes like Bardock sacrifice, Goku and Vegeta using all of their(anime) forms vs Broly, etc.

I really hope we see Planet Sadala and Evildoer Arc, U6 and U11 need to return.
