Is "Kakarot" like a modern "Legacy of Goku" in terms of gameplay: leveling up as you fight random enemies in real time and travel around the globe?

I see it goes on sale fairly often on Switch and I'm curious about it.

I'm really hoping for her to be a descendant of the original Bulma. I think it would widen the scope of what they could do with the character.

I'm also ok with Goku's absence. DBO already satisfied my curiosity for an ending for him. Nothing XV3 could think up could top it. I'd rather it continue ...

I have the kanzenban edition and really like it. The paper quality held up.

I read earlier that the DQ XII protagonist's belt symbol looks like the symbol on the chests of the Gomah's not!Ginyu Force in Daima.

Aside from the added sphere at the top, it's almost the same.

Means nothing, but still thought it was interesting.

DQ XII protagonist's exhausted, sleep-deprived expression fits this era very well. Can't say I'm a fan of the design, but it is relatable.

I'm still curious about what was scrapped from the abandoned version of XII. It would be nice if some of that now unused design work ends up in a future art ...

I like that the hair is different than the other 3's, but it's diluted since Vegeta for the most part felt like such a background character in Daima (like he didn't want to be there--but instead of giving him dialogue or an inner monologue he was silently grumpy and that just turns him into Diet ...

What I disliked the most about Daima was them being turned into children. Improving ssj4's backstory wouldn't move the needle for me.

Trailer was nice. Piccolo cameo was fun. Bulma's (or her descendant's?) outfit looks comfortable except for that Whis-like tech neck ring.

I hope they use some of the DBO lore here. Give Goku and Vegeta's final rival battle to the death a shout-out.

Dragon Ball isn't my first manga or anime, so I'd probably still know of it in the way I know of other 80's series that I've never watched/read, but with no U.S. release I probably wouldn't get into DB if at all until years later than I did, and with different circumstances it probably wouldn't be ...

Congratulations! Looking forward to exploring the Wiki more this week! From what I've already seen it looks like it'll be an excellent resource.

The most graphic parts of DB that I can think of off the top of my head:
-Freeza piercing Krillin's chest with his horn and swinging him around.
-Gohan getting his neck broken by Reacoom.
-Videl getting beaten down by Spopovich.

That's all violence stuff that would give me pause to recommend DB to ...

No way to AI. AI steals humans' creative works, puts humans out of a job, & damages the environment. Like, why? That's not worth the consistency of the sound of the characters' voices, imo.

I miss Hiromi Tsuru's Bulma, but I'm happy with Aya Hisakawa as her replacement. I don't want to see her ...

The Daima child designs looked too SD and not enough like how I would expect the characters to look like as children since we have pre-existing designs for them as children. It would be nice to have a final hurrah with a Black Freeza arc and bring things to a close for real, but I wouldn't hold my breath on the manga returning.

I agree.

You can only loop the same scenario and iterate variations of it so many times before you run out of meaningful things to say. Eventually you'll have your favorite version of it and that's that.

At least, until you yourself change enough where your perspective has shifted and you can come ...
