I would guess that he picked up a basic ability to sense ki sometime while living in the mountains, probably from training with his grandfather. If that is the case, it probably improved as his skill went up, like the sensing Piccolo from Karin Tower example. But I don't think it was fully refined ...

How does the Cell Games Rule work in B2? There's no Cell Games ring in that one which is what's used in B3.

Pedro The Hutt is right. It's just a tournament that allow any capsule to be used, including fusions, because there isn't a Cell Games Arena, and the matches still happen in the Budokai one ...

There are the "Cell Games Rules" for World Tournament Mode, which allows you to use Fusion, Potara, and Buu's Absorption. I think there are also a few extra capsules. And the extra outfits for Goku and Piccolo. And, extra difficulties for Dragon World. (Because they don't think Kid Buu is cheap ...

There is a lot of nudity and sexual references in Dragon Ball, so it's certainly not something I'd want my kids to read/watch.

I would agree with you, that "SSJ4" may not have been the best label for this GT transformation. On the one hand the Saiyan needs SSJ to trigger the transformation to begin with, but unlike the previous stages it's not the "next stage".
