Re: Episode #0218 (25 April 2010)

Oh my God, that was a perfect Julian impression Mike. :p
Yeah, for a moment I thought Julian had sent in a recording and Mike was joking about "reading."

Another surprise: I actually liked Shoko-tan-chan-kun-san's cover of Dan Dan , I'm seriously considering getting the CD (of course, if it had ...

Re: Episode #0212 (14 March 2010)

Did Ms. Rosier forget to answer what version they watch in the DBZ club or did I just miss it?
She forgot. I kind of suspect it's the dub, what with her saying "Seiyan," "Krillin," and "T ie n," but maybe that's just out of habit from starting with the dubs? I'd also like to know if she bought ...

Is that what he said? I kept rewinding the podcast to try and figure it out, but I was driving at the time, so I couldn't exactly devote my full attention to it, plus I was driving through an area with essentially no weak radio stations...

Regarding the one translation of Hattchan's name: True, "8-Man" sounds a lot like "Eat-Man," but y'know what it sounds even more like? This.

So, did anyone follow the link I gave?
It's not so much NSFW as it is "Little Mermaid Poster but not as subtle."

At a quick glance my avatar totally looks like Kid Chi Chi to me, y'know with that giant axe thing on her helmet.
It's called an "Eyeslugger" and it's from Ultraseven . The beam is called the Emelium (or Emerium) Beam. That's probably why Chi Chi only used the helmet in one story--once is parody ...

Since I originally joined the forum so I could reply to comments on my rendition of Cha La Head Cha La , this seemed appropriate. The picture is drawn freehand, based on the first time Goku's tail gets cut off, with Oolong's pants replaced by his usual outfit (though I missed the seam in the pants ...

Hey Mike and anyone else who's going to Otakon, I'd like to invite you to try and check out a particular panel, if you have the time. It's called "the Evolution of Anime" and it's being done by Froborr, a person I know from another site, and will be on Sunday I believe. It's about memes and changes ...

It may be a bit late to comment on this episode, but I just listened to it today (well, technically yesterday) and wanted to chime in that I agree with your opinions on digisubbers replacing Japanese credits with credits for themselves.

Coincidentally, I spent the better part of the (3-day) weekend ...

I really hope the "Widescreen" is a typo, but, unfortunately, I know how marketing minds work: "The Dragon Ball Z season boxes--which are affordably priced, have a lot of episodes per volume, a low per episode cost, and are sold at Wal-Mart, the nation's largest department store chain--are selling ...

The Chipmuncks killed my ears...!!
