I've read Video Girl Ai and Katsura is a wonderfully talented mangaka. The violent scenes in his manga (I assure you, even his "romantic" stories turn dark at points) are wonderfully executed and it made me wonder why he chose the romance genre over anything else. But bravo!

I don't see it being likely, though. Saiyans are murderous brawlers by nature. The what's-their-names that you're talking about were provoked and traumatized into what they are. It'd be like saying that Gohan is a demented murderous freakbaby because when he's in a pinch his power explodes and ...

Getting my bf into DBZ was easy. He's a total bookworm, so I simply loaned him all my manga. He was more than willing to watch the show after that.
