Funimation's "Adult" Gohan: Dameon Clarke vs. Kyle Hebert
The year 2000 saw the release of the English dub of The History of Trunks , which was generally North America's first experience with an adult version of Gohan. In the dub, Future Gohan is voiced by Dameon Clarke (who most notably also voiced Cell). However, in 2001 during the dubbing release of the ...

Exactly how well do Goku and Vegeta know each other?
While watching DBZ episode 213 today (Funimation Dub, "The Dark Prince Returns"), Goku states that "the Vegeta I know would never do this" in response to his attack against Goku and the slaughtering of the tournament spectators. It got me thinking, just how well do the two actually know one another ...

How do you picture a Hollywood version of "Dragon Ball Z"?
With the recent release of the Superman film, "Man of Steel"; it got me thinking.... high octane and intense battles can be portrayed pretty well in film. In fact, I noticed many of the fight scenes and effects within the film itself are very "DBZ-Esque". Superhero films are now arguably the kings ...

Re: Do you like all filler?
Some of the larger filler I really enjoyed, such as the stuff with Maron, Garlic Junior, the Other World Tournament etc. One thing I noticed that without the filler in DB Kai, it seems really rushed. Overall, I'd say that I enjoyed most of the filler the series had to offer.

Re: A History of Trunks What-If
I'd say they probably would of been taken down during the initial battle. Despite the movie showcasing the obvious "nerf" of Super Saiyan power, they only appeared to be a bit stronger than base Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks. If you were to replace #17 and #18 with these two, I wouldn't have any doubt in ...

Even if he was just as strong, you're talking about him going up against two killing machines that can take down a Super Saiyan.

Re: Why was Adult Gohan drawn differently from Future Gohan?
I can definitely understand the in-universe physical differences, as Future Gohan was older and trained all the time (thus buffer etc.). But I was simply wondering if Toriyama had forgotten about his designs for Future Gohan, or if it was just the change in his art style. To me, Future Gohan looks a ...

Why was Adult Gohan drawn differently from Future Gohan?
This is something I never quite understood. When you compare Gohan from the Buu Arc. with Future Gohan from both Trunks' flashback and in The History of Trunks , there are noticeable differences in their physical appearances. Most notably, at least to me, is Future Gohan seems bigger, as in more ...

Re: If Kakarotto had never hit his head...
He most likely would of eventually transformed, and leveled most of Earth. However, I always wondered, would Master Roshi have been able to halt Goku's onslaught? He stops his rampage at the World Tournament, but he knew how to handle it in that case. Perhaps God and Mr. Popo could of stopped Goku ...

Was Gohan more powerful than Goku at the Cell Games?
I have always pondered this, as there was no definitive answer.
We see Full-Powered Super Saiyan Goku engage Perfect Cell in a titanic battle, each of them seemingly matching blow for blow. Now, when Goku surrenders and asks Gohan to fight, he asks his son something along the lines of "were our ...

The animation during Goku vs. #19
Am I the only one who feels as if the animation during Super Saiyan Goku's battle against #19 was done pretty poorly in comparison to other big fights of the series? I mean, this was the first big opening fight to the Cell arc., and there was tons of jagged drawing, repeated animations (Goku's fury ...

Re: Goku VS Vegeta(Unarmed Martial arts with no Saiyan powers)
I would give the gold to Goku. We really do not see any of Vegeta's childhood training (with the exception of in the Bardock TV special), therefor it is hard to estimate his skills in combat without the use of his Saiyan powers. Goku on the other hand, becomes an expert in martial arts while still a ...

What would of been the best way to show Goku's final death?
Let's erase Dragon Ball GT completely, and say Akira Toriyama decided that he would skip ahead many years in his story (after Goku leaves to train Uub, etc.), and end Dragon Ball Z with the final death of Goku. What do you feel would of been the proper way to portray the final passing of the ...

Definitely Marvel Ultimate Alliance! A team of four fighting off villains, I can just picture Piccolo, Kuririn, Gohan, and Tenshinhan fighting Nappa and so on. It could be brilliant!

KOBAYASHI The Hot Dog Eater - DBZ parody
Figured I'd see if anyone has ever seen this, it was a skit made in 2006 on Saturday Night Live featuring the competitive eater Kobayashi as a Super Saiyan who eats hot dogs to save people. It heavily parodies DBZ and gave me a few laughs, so enjoy (sorry the site had no embedding, so the URL is ...

Just how powerful was Future Gohan?
I suppose the main discrepancy is the different ways he is portrayed within the manga and in the anime. Because of this, his true strength seems to be the subject of heavy debate. So, I'm wondering what you guys personally think? Let's go over a few of the facts...

Bibidi seemed to want nothing more than to watch his monster kill... everything. I would assume after killing off all of the Kaioshin, he would attempt to take command of the universe, but who knows?
