If they thought the movie was going to be a blockbuster movie, then why didn't they gave it a blockbuster budget?

The truth is that unless Fox wants to lose the rights to DB; they HAVE to eventually make another DB movie (just like how Constantin Film made a crappy, lunch money budgeted, live-action Fantastic Four movie in the 90s, just so they can make an EVEN MORE crappier FF movie only with an actual budget ...

Same goes for any Special and "movie" coming out.
I would even go so as far to say ALL of 'em I think, are really just cash cow. They might sometimes offer some cool concept here and there, but ultimately they all really are just crap, as far as I remember.

Just saw the ad today on CN SEA (South East Asia), it shows footage from the Saiyan arc (specifically the "Earthlings Vs Saiyans" battle) and the OP with the FUNimation dub. It's rated PG and starts August 15th.

There are more Kanji in use in today's Shounen Manga series than "DB".

Even if we compare the TV Anime rankings for both series at its highest and "DB" wins, it still wouldn't necessary means that "DB" is more popular than "One Piece" since people can easily watch "One Piece" on the internet.
