acquiring dragonball z sound effects

Post by stirlock » Thu Jan 18, 2007 2:54 pm

Hello.
I've been a fan of DB/DBZ for quite some time, and a fan of Daizenshuu ex as well. Anyway, I've been wanting to create a sound pack for a DBZ mud I've been playing for a while known as dragonball truth. I've found a bit of a solution for getting some sound effects, namely, ripping sounds from budokai 3, but I still need some other sounds, mainly the constant sound that is played when someone goes SSJ. Anyone know where I might be able to acquire such sound effects?
thanks

Yes, rip them yourself. There are many moments of silence in the original Japanese where you can hear the sound effects you want. I just found that in episode 227 (Jp numbering) you get to hear a long SSJ effect with no music or voices (Gohan vs Dabura). Sounds like a fun project.

Well, you mentioned you're ripping some from Budokai 3. I'm pretty sure Sparking! NEO/Budokai Tenkaichi 2 has the sound effect of SSJ transforming for its in-game-transformations. Get the effect there, I suppose.

I was going to say the same thing. I would just assume that the video games would have discrete sound files.

Oh, and "good luck" and all that.

I put a small zip folder of a few Dragonball sound effects that you might find useful (Here).

As mentioned before, try ripping sounds from video games, the anime, or hit up your good friend.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.
