Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

What is this "a lot" word? Is it anything like "a lot"?

I think Catwoman II sounds substantially better than Fox making a DBZ movie.
And Catwoman 1 looked so horrid I didn't even, for a second, consider seeing it.

You have no imagination... or if you do, it's a very bland and negative one. O_o

Haha, I don't think (like I've said before) that Americans should even make a live action DBZ movie. I'd rather see Tatsuya Isaka as Son Goku rather then Matt Damon or someone like that.

I always thought that Robin Shou would make a nice Goku... and then I found out he's getting old and that Mortal Kombat is almost 10-years-old.

Instead of doing a live action movie, I'd prefer FUNimation re-releasing the actual Dragonball Z movies in theaters like they did with movie 12 not too long ago. The best thing for them to do is to put a movie that is easy to watch like 6, 7, 8, 12, and of course 13. Easy the watch in America means blowing stuff up, muscles, Broli, and an occasional hero with a sword. The worst case scenario would be an american made Dragonball Z movie with A-list actors. If that ever happens, I'll... Let's put it this way: I used to take the Hulk seriously.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

It's a combination of my view of the majority of american fandom of DBZ, how non-fans generally view DBZ, and what I know "Hollywood" can be with adaptations.

Those weren't really 'in theaters' the way you think of a theatrical release, it was just a dvd player hooked up to the secondary digital projector (the secondary projector that most theaters use for ads before the show).
I love 99% of what Funimation does and I am all for seeing more anime in theaters, but if it is just a dvd player hooked up and I'm still expected to pay 10 bucks to see it, I would rather pay 15 to 20, take the dvd home from the store, and watch it on my tv.

Most likely if this even happened, a select roster of characters would be sporting totally different clothes, and the hair wouldn't be extremely wild. Aside from the plot, costumes, etc.
In all honesty wouldn't you all agree that the fights would be spectatular? Take a brief second to ponder about it. I mean, if this amateur video (
http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=4 ... 85&cache=1# ) turned out this awesome, it would be obvious, that a professional version would be incredible.

Define 'a lot', do you mean the dozen guys in that other forum whom you asked to try and spam Daizex with how great a DBZ movie would be to try and change peoples minds?
No, not just the people on "that forum" most everyone I've asked that are DBZ fans want it...

I know I certainly do. I think it can be done really good.
I hope the people at FOX don't have the same pessimistic view as some of these fans do or nothing will ever get done with that attitude.

All in all its like Godofchoas said: It's common for companies to renew all thier Urls but that dosen't mean that anything is going to build off it. It just means it is still there.
I for one wouldn't be surprised if FOX dosent even know they have the rights still. A DBZ live-action movie would be a couple years too late because now all thats left of us are those who truely held on. I feel a better chance of something like a Naruto or One Piece Live action movie rather than a Dragonball one.
Edit: 400 posts!! I'm on my way.

Cuz you're an ocean, you're an ocean, settle down settle down what's the commotion?

A live action flick would take a lot more attention to be done right than anything over at recent Fox. The latest X-Men, and their bastardization of their own Alien and Predator franchises speaks volumes to this.
Doesn't mean I'm uninterested, though. : P

Holy crap, I thought that the whole idea of Hollywood making a DBZ movie was some sort of cruel joke. Anyone remember that fake movie poster that was circulating on the internet for awhile?

Ah yes, the "7 is all they need" poster or something like that.
And there as a Piccolo one as well...
On hiatus.

I refuse to see the movie completely on the fact that the website's registrar is Markmonitor, my company's competitor.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Funny, how can you refuse to see a movie that doesn't even exist in the first place?
