Its probably just me, but lately this community..isn't as interesting as it used to be. I mean, are things moving slow for Dragonball as whole now? It feels we're all ranting about the same things again and again (FUNimation sucks, what're your opinions, noob question or comment, age old discussions). While those discussions are a part of our fandom, its getting very old.

Is there anything big coming up soon that's DB/Daizex related that I'm missing out on? Are there any new additions to the forum maybe like off-topic sections or places we can discuss current events or something..anything? IDK..just bringing up some suggestions to liven up to place. With that being said, could you save your breath with comments like "make your own site" or things like that. I'm just offering some suggestions..

An "absolutely not"? I really don't see how a few discussions outside of Dragonball would damage this place but whatever, it isn't my site. So there's the dub, that mmorpg, and the podcast (sometimes) I guess that'll do...

Is there something you want to talk about? If it's DragonBall related, then don't hesitate to bring the topic up. But if it's not DragonBall related, I don't see why you'd want to discuss it here.

If you're just unhappy that there's little news about DragonBall, well, the series is 20 years old - and no new animation has been made (outside ads and game openings) in 10 years.

Yeah, I kinda noticed that, too. I tend to visit the forums less and less now. I guess my ideas for threads are wearing thin. All my posts used to be two paragraphs or longer, but I'm starting to have less and less to say about stuff since well... they're not interesting me as much. Don't get me wrong, I still like DB, but it was only a matter of time until talk of it started to get kinda dry.

And, sorry, but I kinda agree about the whole "this is a DB forum, so everything should be DB related" deal. Off topic threads just kinda bore me and seem really out of place (probably since they're meant to be out of place in the first um... place). I guess there's always the irc, but I don't really like goin' over there much.

A couple things are for sure, though: 1) I'll post at least once in all the podcast threads to give my thoughts as well as in 2) any new and interesting thread that happens to pop up here.

And if I'm really bored, and am craving some posting, I guess popping into one of the introduction threads and wandering through the many doors in room 29 will be god enough for me

. I've also got some DB related stuff in the works, but they definitely won't be done for some time, if at all (I'd make a DBZ AMV with ABBA's "Thank You for the Music," but I don't know the first thing in making AMVs and the podcast/Naruto comic crossover is kind of an on/off project for now

).

Is there any news on Dragonball online coming out in america? I may be light years behind the current news.

Boring, yeah this forum has started to be a little dull lately. It seems as if EX has gone into super banning mode a lot more recently. But whatever he wants to do.

We can always make Desire do more timeline stuff.

I can see both sides of the argument. Some people would like an off-topic section so they can talk about other things with the same people (us) they talk about DB with. And then it would be on a board with the same level of intelligence and rule-following you see here.

On the other hand, VegettoEX has a point in that if it's not DB-related, it shouldn't be on a DB board.

Anyway, when other discussions are bound to happen in this board. Notice how the better discussions we've had were either 1) a place to flame Funi 2) a place where we'd talk about things that had almost nothing to do with Dragonball. I'm just trying to say that a lot of people here could have good discussions outside of the realm of DB/Z/GT..

There could be a small section for other anime, I know there's a lot of people here that are into One Piece and Naruto...Or something dealing with what's going on now. It doesn't have to be news or anything, you could talk about..IDK, Blue Dragon, the new Spider-Man coming out, anything! Even though this place is really organized, it seems more like a place of business than a place to talk about something we like..Like I said, these are just some suggestions to liven up the place...

The reason is simple, really: fans will eventually get tired of fandom in slumps like this, as you currently are. However, including a non-DB section in the forums is not only off-topic, but inevitably leads to certain (if not most) people posting exclusively in that section since it's topics will always be current and new. We've already got a bunch of users abusing the introductions forum.

Heh yeah about those intro threads, I'm not one to talk but its gotten out of hand. New member comes in and they'll here two things: watch your grammar or join _ or you'll die. I think that's giving people a bad idea of who they're discussing with...

Pretty much dead-on with all points. As my own commentary, if you're not enough of a fan to stick it out when there's "nothing important" going on, Daizenshuu EX probably isn't the place you want to be. Also, if you think *this* is a dry-spell, you haven't been around long enough.
