I think they should air Battle of Gods, then Super Episodes 1-14, then Resurrection 'F', then Super Episodes 15-27, maybe doing two episodes a week or so, THEN start a weekly basis from 28-onwards. They'd advertise the new material beforehand and say, "Stay tuned for Episode 28!"

What do you guys think?

Just air the show in its entirety, even though the first two arcs are just movie retellings apart from a few episodes that probably still serve well when put with the rest of the content.

Well, there is a Dragon Ball Kai section of the forums.
I think we've talked about that before. There might be a chance that when the current run of Kai finishes sometime around November, it'll continue into Buu Kai. I haven't seen anything other than speculation there, so no actual source, but we've gotten confirmation that recording is finished. But yeah, I think this is covered in the Dragon Ball Kai section.

I don't think that will happen. Kai had repeats around 8:00 PM and AS needs that time slot for King of the Hill. If there is no Fox animated show, people will turn it off. Aqua Teen was at 8:30 PM before on Saturdays and it bombed. AS animated shows are too niche while Fox Animated shows are marketed to a bigger audience. Super will likely air at 11:30 PM on Saturdays.

IMO super did the first 2 arcs BETTER then the movies. Still really flawed but you need to see em to notice the little differences. I think they did no mai and trunks shipping in the first 2 arcs for one. That's a difference.

If there weren't some plotholes and the choreography and usage of characters was better, then yeah.
There were some elements I liked better than the movies, the series opening and ending and absence of any insert music included,
but the Extended Cut of BoG is still superior product for me, with all the stuff in it. Pilaf is full-fledged there, as his insertion in super is nonsensical and glaring.

I just prefer the god fight in super really, the vegeta rage scene was silly..even more so in super. BUt super had better colors then bog.

Pilaf's gang since BOG has been cringe worthy. I hate them. People think PAN IN GT was bad! (and she was) but this....yeah....takes the cake for most annoying characters in a dragonball series.

And just wait for the Trunks cut of R"F" to come out beforehand you decide wether Super or the movie is better for that.

I am really curious, as I expect something bad outright. Can't imagine how they want Trunks shoveled in. Maybe reanimate the encounter with Freeza as Trunks arrives the first time? (Going by the 5 seconds of Trunks' slashing him).

Now after watching the Toonami Asia dub clip and hearing Hercule, because Schemmel said that Super will be on basic cable in early 2017, I thought that FUNimation can release the uncut super to DVD and Blu-Ray and the edited dub on DVD only if the series does good, similar to what they did in the early 2000s with uncut DB and Z on DVD and VHS while the edited one is VHS exclusive. If you look at the amazon reviews for Kai part 1 and 2 on Amazon, a lot of parents were mad that their kids were seeing blood and swearing and stuff.

I'd like to see Funimation release the edited Super dub too, they could even slap on the Toonami Asia dub as an extra audio option (in case this dub doesn't get a home release), it would be nice to have even as a collector's item. Although visually there is very little that can be censored in Super so the main thing with that release would be edited dialogue.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

Let them be mad. We do not need edited dubs on physical releases.

If the little amounts of blood aren't censored because it's barely any, they could add an edited audio track on the release, or do multiple angles or put it as a separate disc on the same set.

That's why its important for there to be an edited TV Deal. That way parents can just record the show for their little ones and leave the DVD's alone.
