Still hard to take this whole Goku being excited about Oob thing seriously, There's Beerus/Whis/Vados/Grand Priest and 2 freaking Zeno's, either they instantly disappear in the upcoming future or somehow uses the dragon balls to make everyone forget about Goku and his friends meeting the Gods and beyond I just cant buy it... I can understand that Oob can get stronger, but more stronger than the Gods and above? its just hard to take.

Why would he have to be stronger than the gods? You only need to accept one thing for the EoZ to still make sense; Oob has the potential to rival Goku in the future. Since Goku is literally training him first-hand for years, it's a pretty reasonable assumption.

Cause of the way they showed the final chapter, like how Goku hasnt been that happy for a long time (implying he hasnt had a challenge and has no one to challenge to make him excited as he is with knowing Oob's potential)

That's your interpretation of it. Even if that is the case, it's such a minor inconsistency that it's not even worth acknowledging. There are grander, more obvious contradictions in the original manga all the time.

That's your interpretation of it. Even if that is the case, it's such a minor inconsistency that it's not even worth acknowledging. There are grander, more obvious contradictions in the original manga all the time.

I'm not really complaining about the inconsistency, hell I dont even care if they retcon EoZ, its not that big of a deal for me. I'm just sharing my opinion.

There's not really much of an implication at all, other than Oob's immense potential as a sparring partner, as well as Goku's successor.

That's fine, but they aren't doing that. Now that Bra's being born, we also know that they're trying to keep the continuity straight (well, Dragon Ball levels of straight). There's no reason to think that they'll even try to retcon anything, now.

I doubt Vegeta would be nervous if Bra wasn't on the cusp of being born. I predict it'll happen at the end of episode.

Haven't seen someone say it yet, but I think it's very possible for the next tournament format to be like Baba's tournament. It would be cool and it would explain why Goku is the team leader

I hope not, I wish to see something new for a tournament, there is always the 1 vs 1 on a ring until somebody fells off the ring, can't fight anymore or if he surrenders, I want to see a 2 vs 2 deathmatch in different scenarios. I mean, the universe which loses will be destroyed anyway so why not a fight until death in the tournament with a partner so there won't be a lot of fights. Or just all members of U1 vs all members of U2 and who stills on his foots is the winner or something like that.

I agree but I'm hoping goku and Vegeta won't do do a tag team together because honestly that would sound really boring and too op I'm hoping to see unique tag team like Vegeta and Gohan Goku and tien etc

The only we info we have for the episode right now is the one from this month's NewType magazine that was translated by Herms days ago. But as per usual, we would probably get more info about the episode in the next Weekly Shōnen Jump issue.

Well, as I was sneakily asking, when did Future Trunks claim "10 years"? I legitimately want to know so that I can profile it.

It's in the Super manga when Goku and Trunks are sparring. Goku says Trunks is amazing and even stronger than Gohan back then as in at the Cell Games and Trunks says it's been 10 years.

That's inaccurate. It's over 10 years.

As noted, the Cell Game is set in AGE 767. During that moment of history, Future Trunks is 17 years separated from the alternate past (AGE 784) & that distance remains unaltered. Oob is described as a "good human kid", with Vegeta, relatively speaking, claiming he's just been born, not that he's a newborn. That's an important distinction.

It's not Oob's current strength that excites Goku, it's his potential which he intends to train out of him. There's nothing off about that & grooming him to be his successor, really.

Episode 77's description claims that Bra will be born SOON. There has to be some sort of timeskip because of that. This makes me hope Goten, Trunks, and Maron will have aged.
