Fine then. Make me Executive Producer :D

Anyways, I want in on the FTP thing. Kaboom, I think I gave you my IP a while back when we were messing around with it. You know where to PM me.
Okay. Edited. My bad; If you do change the data, let me know.

Also, as for the music, yes, since the script and just about everything else is staying so faitful to the original japanese, we decided the BGM was one area where we'd get a little more creative and original. Steven Perry's been doing a lot with that; you can see some of his test videos on YouTube.
Ok, if we're only using a bit of Japanese BGM, we should, at hte moment, figure out which ones we should use. The only one we ever decided on was the entrance music for Shenlong, right?

According to my wiki-ing, Executive Producer mainly handles project finances.

...We has money?

Okey doke. I'm assembling PMs to send out to our video editors as I type this. So we've got you, Steven, and now Arcwave, right? Am I missing anyone of video editing?

As far as I know, yes, that's the only one we've decided on.

Steven Perry's efforts thus far have gotten us fairly far ahead in the music department, so we really don't need to worry about that for the moment. For now, let's worry about things like starting to record (Whenever Kino finishes the script, that it), deciding how to split the video work, etc...

No, that's at the 49:51 minute mark (they re-use the scene here).

The one I want starts at exactly 43:00, then goes up until 43:08. It starts up after Goku knocks out all the henchmen. It then cuts to the fruit.

Keep in mind that our versions may alter slightly (in terms of the time reading), so use the part where Goku knocks out all the henchmen then goes after Tullece as a reference.

Unfortunately, all the voice acting roles have already been cast. Stick around, there may be something in the future we could use some extra help with. :)

Huzzah!

Unfortunately, not much has happened... We're waiting on KinoFourpaws for the final script, which we need to move forward at this point, and she's nowhere to be seen.

I don't wanna sound like a retard, but I have no idea how to access Acid_Reign's server thing. I gave him the login info, and then he told me what to do- but now I'm stuck...

I'm using Cerberus- the one that was recommended. This is what the screen looks like. What do I do now...? :?

Image
Arcwave said that he couldn't access it either.

Heeeeeeeelp!

I don't know where to insert the login info, and how to use this thing. I'm a complete newbie. :?

Anyway, in other news, I've been getting on with the poster. I could continue coming up with ideas forever, but I don't wanna keep asking Kaboom to draw for me. So, I'll stick with this as being the last one:

Image
(This is the draft. I'm not satisfied with this one)

Next, I thought it would be an excellent idea to make some sort of AMV for the credits. The credits would be scrolling up in front of it, with the AMV slightly blackened out to put emphasis on the text. I'm sure Arcwave could do something excellent! If any of you have completed the PS2 game 'Devil May Cry', you'll know what I'm talking about (brilliant game, by the way).

Have you guys chosen what songs you're using for the opening and ending credits? The same ones the movie originally had (Cha-La and Marugoto), or something different?

I believe they've said that they are keeping both. At least Head-Chala will be in there.

I thought you were going to use Head Cha La, as sung by Mr. A.

I was just gonna suggest using the 2005 version of Cha-La possibly. You know, it could make a statement that your not the original, or the dub (or the redub).

Okay, let's see...

Uuuuummmmm...... You're using the wrong program.

Cerberus is for creating and hosting an FTP Server, not accessing it. I was fiddling around with Cerberus in my attempts to set one up earlier, but now Acid_Reign's handling that end. To access it, you'll want an FTP Client program like Filezilla, which I'd recommend. The interface should look like this...

The input bars up by the top is where you enter the Login info. Then just hit Quickconnect, and, so long as you've given Acid_Reign your IP Adress and he's set it to permit you access, then you should be connected within a few seconds or so.

Acid_Reign has also actually changed some of the Login info for the server because of the minor "security leaks" earlier. As soon as I finish this post, I'll be sending the new info to you guys, in case he hasn't already.

As a test, I tried downloading the .vob files when Acid_Reign first put them up, and, um... they're big files. Even if you have a fast connection, you might want to set up your rig to let them download overnight, or something. Just make sure to let A_R know, so he can make sure to leave it up and running for you.

Looks most excellent, dude. Um... I was somehow under the impression that Gohan was gonna be a little bigger, though.

Opening ~ Damn straight we're using Cha-La. It'd just be wrong not to.

However, I'll be completely honest... I don't think we're gonna be able to get it out of Mr. A. Nothing personal, but she's hardly on anymore, and I'm a bit concerned as to whether she'll even be around to record once we get started (when KINO FINISHES THE SCRIPT, that is).

Now let's see.... 2005 version? Hot diggity, I'm liking that idea. However, two questions...
  1. Is there a TV theme length version?
  2. Will it sync up well without having to adjust the footage much/at all?
  3. Does someone have it? That German site that had a lot of the various versions for download is shut down.
...Wait, that's three...

Anyhoo, somebody get us some answers in that regard, please.

Ending ~ Hmm... I'm liking the idea of the "music video" ending. Cha-La for the beggining is a must, but I don't see any reason to not get creative with the end credits. Marugoto doesn't seem as vital, and besides, there'll be japanese text over the end credits video, anyhoo (Which reminds me, there's Japanese text over the opening, too. We want to keep the DragonBox quality, obviously, so... I guess we'll just deal with it? Maybe put our own credits alongside them as FanSubbers tend to do?).

What did you have in mind, Steven? Just like, a montage of clips from the movie, pretty much? Should we get a little creative, and maybe incorporate some... oh, I dunno... gag reel elements into it?

Alright! I'm liking the idea flows here! Let's get some more input, folks!

Well, the SDBZ intro uses the '05 Cha-La, it may not be perfect length, but I'm sure it could be edited if need be. And for the music video credits, you could use the long version of Marugoto if you think the credits are gonna be 4+ minutes.

EDIT: Just checked. The SDBZ intro is 1:20.

OTHER EDIT: Damn, the intro for the movie is 1:59. I might be able to edit the full version of the song to be that long. Tell me if you think it's a good idea.

Yep, the site is down, because I'm too lazy to:

- make a new design
- upload all the stuff on a new server
And furthermore, there was almost no feedback.

Let's see...Head-Cha-La 2005...
I believe the Super DBZ version (Japanese version of the game) could fit. I'll check it later.
